Issues with SKY TV

The blame lies both with Sky (for their advisors not finding the problem with attempting to apply your deal) and yourself for not asking what the additional charges would be.
Don't worry Dave, no offense taken.
Am still waiting for confirmation of the offer that has been made to resolve this issue.Date of Update – 08/04/19
Goal 1 – Reduce Mortgage - £120k/£120k = 100%:j

Gratis,
The email from sky was from the following email address
sky@skymail.sky.com.
I believe that i have spoken to Sky directly as I have since written a email of complaint (via thier website) and had a response. The person from Sky Help Centre has confirmed that I did call them three times in total and there was a glitch on the system (most probably the safegaurds in the system).
They have also apologied for the lack of call backs as promised and I have now asked for confirmation of the revised offer that the last sales advisor made me. was it- 6 months free sky or
- 50% off for 12 months.
Update
I have over the bank holiday weekend receieved an email from sky in relation to the above. They confirmed (in a manner) that it was for 6 months free, however they then followed up by stating that this offer was no longer available to me.:mad:
It would seem that there was a time limit on this deal that no one informed me of.
I shall now be escalating the issue and contacting Jeremy Darroch’s office via email.
Lets see what happens next...Date of Update – 08/04/19

From what you have written so far, during the currency of the offer Sky twice contracted with you (verbally) to give you the 75% discount deal (even if it isn’t clear whether or not Sky also agreed to give you a free dish installation). How Sky then processes that on its own computer systems is Sky's problem, not yours.
Hang in there and keep us posted! :money:
It's not so much the money: this needs to be pursued because a principle is at stake and some incompetent people within Sky need to be disciplined or sacked by the senior management.Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance

Update -
I have now recieved a response from Jeremy Darroch’s office and even a phone call  from a member of the Executive Support Team.
Sadly she notified me that the current offer available was 50% off for 6 months, however after reviewing my account and notes that she would be able to offer the following:- 6 Months free TV (all stations)
- 12 Months HD for Half Price
- Free Multi-room for 12 months
- Free Sky Dish installation
I have been assured that Sky shall be investigating the catalogue of errors internally to get to the bottom of what went on and taking action accordingly. :T
In all it may cost me a bit more, but given I don't have to pay for the dish to be installed I am happy.
Now i just need to convice my brother that he does not need his Sky+HD box, but a Std box in his spare room, as he does not have the HD service....:DDate of Update – 08/04/19

We had problems 5 years all ok then our sky Plus box died. They wanted to charge us £60 just for coming out to have a look!)
The only way we got anything was to threaten to cancel. We where put through to three different people who each time made the offer better. Virgin are offering some amazing deals so i quoted a deal I had been offered. In the end we got £10 off per month( from what we where orginally paying, Free upgrade to HD and HD channels FOC.Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -
Replacement Sky+ boxes are next to nothing on eBay, or free on freegle. Never pay for a call-out if the box has a problem.
The call out charge covers a new (refurb) box if it is faulty, or any other parts or maintenance work required though-it's not just for 'having a look'.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Thanks Gratis,
Yeah the F1 was one of the main reasons that I wanted Sky TV.
Now I just have to be patient, until the installation. Will report back once I am up and running.:j:jDate of Update – 08/04/19

Right small update,
I am now up and running with my SkyTV and am almost overjoyed. Only one of the boxes is up and running because i need a new card to be able to watch all the channels on both boxes. This the Installation guy said he would arrange and i would recieve it in the next 5 days or so.
I am still awaiting a call back as promised to confirm that the installation went according to plan.
I am also looking into how much a 1TB box would cost me, so more on that once i know more....Date of Update – 08/04/19
