Another day at home today - I love not having to pay Mr BP twice a week!! In other news OH has been told he's defo off to the war zone in a couple of weeks which is not good :(
Also managed to borrow some dressage boots for the competition on Sun so that saves me worrying about what to wear! They are mens boots and 2 sizes too big so I'll probably look like a clown!!

Hopefully they will all be looking at the horse's legs...
  • Bad news about the war zone. Hope you can put it in a box for a while but I know how hard it is. All the best,

Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Thanks sss. I'm hoping that the mutts and horsey will keep me so busy in that time that I won't think about it too much :(

Will have to get him to make me some meals and freeze them before he goes otherwise I will end up spending a fortune on ready meals! Lodger and I already have plans to go out one nite ... Another benefit of a lodger - drinking buddy

Another day of working at home (I really could get use to this!!)
For anyone else who works at home - how do you stay motivated. I do sometimes find myself doing anything but actual work!!

It takes me around 3.5 hours round trip and £15 in diesel if I need to go into office so quite easy really :rotfl: (currently having late brekkie....)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Well done on the competition Laura! Hope hubby will stay safe in war zone and you won't starve while he is away.
I've got a new lodger too who so far fed me, went out drinking with me, has offered me a lift to Liverpool (saving 90 £ on the train tickets) and has been rather entertaining so far. Only downside is that he appears to be deaf judging by the volume he watches TV at.... hmmmm they just can't be perfect.

    Morning, thanks Resilie!!
I think there is always a little downside with lodgers but like you say they do have their upsides too! That's a good money saving trip to Liverpool!! Just having their rent to pay off the mortgage is just such a massive help! I would recommend it to anyone with a spare room on here!
