  • Afternoon everyone,
things really seem to have gone quiet in our club at the moment - perhaps everyone is breathing a sigh of relief and taking stock - I know I am. Although not quite a sigh of relief more just a "sigh". Just checked my CCCS account and altered the balances - gone up by £600 because of charges  . (Haven't used the accounts for over 2 months!). Reading the bumf on the site I noticed one of the priorities when in debt is "not to borrow more" - so why then do the Horrible Sadistic B(w)anking Corporation insist on "pushing" their managed loan at me!! They are still refusing to acknowldge the DMP and seem hell bent on making my situation at least 50% worse   !!! And they haven't done anything about my charges claim and the two weeks were up on Friday, I'll give them till Wednesday and then take the next step. Abbey still haven't been in touch so I'll be chasing them again.
First day at work today, it went very well, can't make any adjustments to DMP until end on May when I know what wages are. Am worried about upping the payment too soon incase it gives them more ammunition to "FORCE" the managed loan, particularly as they're unlikely to pass the debt over for another 5 months - oh what do I do?? Should I wait till its passed over or is that terribly dishonest?? Think it is!!
Anyway my "little" post has turned into an "epic" :rotfl: :rotfl: !!
Take care, love and hugs to you all

    Hi Indebt,

I would put your extra money aside and wait until things settle, I have been advised to do that with the lump sum from my council tax overpayment.

I am at the very start of a long road and feel that if I give everything I may well end up without any fall back money, what if the car dies etc... Also if I keep giving extra they will think I can afford more just because I have had a little windfall.

I am not saying don't change the payment just wait awhile.

    I hope that makes sense.

  • OMG!!! Finally plucked up the courage to answer HSBC call and the guy was quite pleasant (:p ), told me I was in arrears ( ), I explained about CCCS he checked and claimed not to have heard from them  , he recognised that I was dealing with it and making regular payments, but said they may ask for payment in full  could I pay anything today :rotfl: :rotfl: I explained all my spare money was with CCCS. He asked why I had gone to CCCS and why had I got into this situation  confirmed my tf number and asked for an alternative - I said no!! End of call god I'm so proud of myself - but my heart is racing!!! What a day.
    love to all

    Hi..

Hello again to neith. Also well done ida. I think sometimes it takes a lot of courage to face phone calls like that. I have done so myself in the past and once they are done it is quite a relief

    Regards

    hi everyone,

IDA We are in the same sittuation, we made our first payment on the 1st of this month and my DH started a job on the 2nd. We dont get paid until the 26th of this month and are really struggling for money at the moment. I am also worried when I tell CCCs and the payment to the creditors goes up too much they will not except the DMP, as our reason for the DMP, was unemployment. I also wondered wether to let it settle first. My DH was unemployed for 2yrs and we struggled to pay the minimum payments all that time. It was just before he got this job (which is only temporary for 6 months) that I found out about DMP's from this site.

    Hi,

Just come in from work, cut the lawn, fed the dogs, walked the cat.....

Five minutes before tea, Well done IDA its horrid when you talk to them my heart races and I get all paniky!!

I have got to phone Nationwide tomorrow, really dreading it as they were the ones who sent a man to my house!!

I phoned egg today and they were really nice, and have accepted. I just want them all to back off and let me live my life, I am sure we all feel like that at times.

Just a question, what do you all do if anyone you know mentions how people who are in debt are stupid and irrisposible and all that jazz? Had all that from my Mother today as a chap she knows is up to his eyes in it, I just said yeah, but its nothing to do with anyone else, but feel bad for not defending him!!

    Hi Amani,

cccs told me to put overtime money away for emergencies as it was not a regular income.

    Hope that helps
