Glad you had a good day Joek - good stuff :T

Yes, good idea about the TEE-CEE-shirts - geddit?!

I think our birthday present to her should be a great big massive pink and lime green stripy piggy bank... we could all jump out of it, like people do out of cakes (does that really happen in real life?!).

Anyway Hi everyone hope you all had a good easter and welcome to newer than me newbies. Just thought id share with you all my experience today.
My DMP is due to start in May. Had a bad weekend felt really down and decided today to make some phone calls and make some token payments for this month.

Lloyds first, they had not yet heard from CCCS although my account had gone to collections a very nice man gave me some good advice about cancelling direct debits and changing my account from a gold account to classic to avoid additional charges. ( i have opened a parachute bank account in preparation anyway as my overdraft is with them) He said LLoyds would be in touch reg DMP ( I said i bet they will!) but it was likely they would offer me a loan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE AND TYPICAL OF LLOYDS SAME HAPPENED TO KEVSTAR. I told him did NOT want a loan and would continue with DMP he said account may be passed to collection agency:mad: I asked them not to contact me by phone and to make a note on my account to say as much which he said he would do. (we shall see)

Capital One, OH phoned they said they had accepted DMP stopped interest and didnt want token payment:j Again very helpful:T

Morgan Stanley, have accepted DMP and they asked for token payment of £47 Both said they would review DMP after 12 months

Egg again very helpful I paid £10 token payment. and have accepted DMP although they have not frozen interest:mad: i will speak to the CCCS about that tomorrow

Not heard from Next or Barclaycard yet. The phone calls really werent anything like I expected I think if you get to them first its not that bad. However time will tell im sure.

Sorry to ramble on feel better for getting all that off my chest tho

Sorry for the pun, but your news hopefull is...er...well, hopefull really!

I'm yet to hear from Egg or some of my other creditors, although they might all have been ringing me for ages threatening me....I gave them my other phone line, which is only used for internet, so I remain oblivious as to the phonecalls...which means they're gonna have to send me letters!

hopeful - egg said they wouldn't stop interest until they defaulted me, but the debt would be kept internal and then they would stop interest. I don't know if the same will happen with you but this could be what's happening.
