Hi Winkus
Aly xOfficial DMP Mutual Support Club Member No 300 -
Just visited the cccs website and great to see the first payment has been distributed
!! Checked out online banking and its hit all the accounts but they appear to still be applying interest - but its early days so we'll see!!
Have come so far and mainly thanks to mse and particularly this thread :A , it has really helped to put everything into perspective. Now the first payment has gone in I'm going to start reclaiming my bank charges (over £2,000 enough to clear the o/d) and pay a little off the others. Already in the process with Abbey (closed account) just waiting for the statements and then we're off with them. Already have the statements for HSBC so its straight onto the two week attack
- fingers crossed!!
Definately think a bar of chocolate is in order ..... mmmmmm .... cadburys!!:j :j :j :jI stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0 -
Hi Everyone,
Glad to see you have all been having fun on the board over the weekend!!
Just a quick question, MBNA (yes again) have not accepted my DMP offer, they want £4.00 more a month!!! I have asked them to deal direct with cccs, but could anyone tell me what they are likely to do next??
Marks and Spencer seem to have accepted even though the letter they sent says they can't accept! It then goes on to say I must keep up the payments I have offered. So I took it as a yes??
I am not good at these mind games!!
Thanks everyone.

Hi neith
sounds like mbna are trying it on, as far as I know their only option is to sell the debt to a dca but don't know how that happens. I know it only seems like £4 but it smells like they're testing the waters and if you can find the exta £4 now they may keep uping the anti. Looks good with m&s too - good for you.

hi everyone,
would like to join the club please.have just started paying my dmp with cccs. am 44,have been married 25 years in dec and have a 12 year old boy and a 6 year old great dane.also have about £21000 debt but its decreasing every month!!!had to confess to oh after the postie told him that all my mail had been redirected to mums(i know!,but i couldnt stand the stress of trying to get to the post before oh everyday so i redirected it for 3 months)
anyway,oh thought i had done it cos i was leaving him so i had to tearfully admit everything and have written to p.o. to redirect it back.
went better than i imagined and oh was ok.showed him all from cccs and he said it would take forever and i said, about 26 years, but its better than bankruptcy.
most have agreed but couldnt understand why cccs were giving £5 to a £5700 debt and £9 to a £2ooo debt but they said it worked on the repayments based before the dmp.
did my own dmp in1996 and find it much less hassle to have one direct debit to cccs and they distribute it,than taking 13 giros to pay at bank.
i live in south yorks btw.sorry if post long.thanks for reading.People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with
LOVE ME, LOVE MY NEWFOUNDLAND.:A0 -
Hi Sandra,
Thanks thats what I thought. They have sold the arrears to RMA but still hold the account - very messy!!
I did tell them that there is no more money and the cccs have what there is!!
On the plus side I will make my first cccs payment on Wednesday, did any of you go to another post office rather than your local?? I was wondering which one to use as I would not want to be going back there anytime soon!!
Daft I know but you become paranoid!!!

hi ilovegreatdanes, welcome to the club
IDAAS great news about CCCS, must be a weight off
Neith MBNA will try what they can, to be fair all the creditors will! We've got a plan with them, and they did ask us to put up our payments. In our case, this happened after DH had had a pay rise, and all our other creditors agreed to what we offered, so we agreed, basically to keep the DCA off our case. But at the end of the day, if you don't have the money, you can't give it to them.
Hi to everyone else, hope you've all had a good daySpent all afternoon writing cheques for my firm, we're entering mini DMPs with some of our creditors! No wonder I get down sometimes, I'm getting it from all angles! Oh well
Must admit though, feeling slightly more smiley than I did earlier

Welcome ilovegreatdanes - I'm a dog lover too - I have a 20 month old gsd and 5 month old border collie. Lost our beloved Max (collie x 8yrs) back in November to prostate cancer not nice - he was sooo special. You're definately in the right place loads of great people and great advice too!
Neith it really is empowering when you make that first payment even more so when it hits the accounts!
Daysieblue you really are getting it from all sides - are your firm okay with your wages this month? It must be tricky for you knowing how much they're struggling. Any luck with the job hunting?
