You'll never guess what just happened.... I finally built up the courage to return the call to Barclaycard.... Sweat was pouring out of me, dry throat, knees knocking (okay, I'm trying to build up some tension here!). Finally got through to be told "I'm sorry our systems have just gone down, please call back again later".

    AAArrrrggghhhhhh!!!!

While I'm on, does anyone know the number that creditors need to call to contact Payplan? I can't find it anywhere... Thank you muchly in advance.

    Hi huntress,

Boring days are good sometimes, a break from the drama of the intense ones. Both of my weekend days have been like that. Been bored, but will reep the benefits when my school kids try to whip me up into a frenzy tomorrow!

Don't envy the combing hair bit right enough!

  • evening all. Missed all the fun last night - well done Joek on your new star!! I'm beginning to feel seriously old and fear I may be the oldest member of the club. I remember all those sweets, anyone remember galaxy counters or spangles?? I'm 42.5 but feel 19 and a half. Anyone else brave enough to admit their age.
Hope all is well with you all and that life has been good to you today. We had a lovely lunch with all the children (now eldest is home from uni) and it was great to sit around the dinner table with my brood aged 19, 14, 12 and 4 and my oh and just chat and laugh. One of those times you wish you could bottle and bring out when they're doing your head in!!
Take care and love to you all.

    Hi everyone
Been a quiet day here too. DH washed the car ready for the funeral tomorrow. Don't know why though as by the time we have driven over 150 miles to get there it will look just as bad. I've had a sore throat for over a week now and today it got really bad. Have been gargling mouthwash and sucking on strepsils but no improvement. Hope I don't feel as bad tomorrow.

On the plus side while DH washed the car I went and tidied up the garden a bit. A few of my plants have self seeded so won't need to buy any this year. I like tall ornamental style plants but usually buy two or three new ones every year to add to the collection.

Have also managed a NSD so far and see no reason to change that. Unfortunately the skirt I had planned on wearing tomorrow has shrunk so I may have to pop into Asda on the way up the road tomorrow to get something suitable. And yes it has SHRUNK not a weight gain as it was wool and should have been drycleaned but to save money DH stuck it in the washing machine. The skirt now hangs 3 inches higher than the lining lol. Unfortunately all of my other funeral suitable clothing is too small due to weight as I haven't been to a funeral since before children came along.

I'll stop moaning now. Off to have toad-in-the-hole for tea.

    speak later everyone

That's brilliant IDAAS - what a lovely day. I guess it's moments like that that make all the bad stuff worth it :T

I vaguely remember Spangles, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm 25 and 5/24 (can you tell I'm a maths teacher who is procrastinating to avoid planning a fraction lesson?!).

I wish they would bring back Vice Versas, I LOVED those!! Are Galaxy Discs like Minstrels?

    Hi Cat :hello:

You'll def find something to wear in Asda, bargainous too. I remember driving up to Scotland for my Grandmas funeral. I got halfway up and realised I'd left my suit in England! Had to hot foot it back down and back up again. Supermarket clothing ranges weren't as good back then.

Hope it goes as well as it can tomorrow (in case I don't speak to you before). Big hugs.

    Enjoy your Toad-In-The-Hole - yummy!
