My dad's one arrived yesterday!!!! It looks quite smart and i managed to get some reception out of it. He is yet to try it out on the road - and now he is cancelling his DD instruction.

It arrived after the first payment was taken

UPDATE - He is still using it and it is fine - I'm surprised no-one else has gone for this....

PLUS - this month they have written to him asking if he wants to start a new policy - the incentive includes an LCD TV worth £129 in Argos - watch this space.

Can I suggest a mod moved this over to Silver Savers section or Quick, Grab it while you can sections.

I've just persuaded my step father to sign up, so I can get the cheap TV. :D

They say I should receive a voucher to collect my TV within 28 days of the first DD payment being taken - perfect timing, as I'm aiming to move house around about then - and could do with a nice TV for the bedroom. :D

Yes it comes with loads of POIs including speed cameras - fixed and mobile.
I'm not sure about updating or adding - but I'm sure it's possible.

My Mum and Dad signed up this time, and after 2 DD instalments they both got an Argos Redemption for the TV - now £119 in the catalogue. Not the best TV but better than a slap in the face with a wet kipper - as some folks say. - its an acoustics solution type.

They have now cancelled off the policy - which totalled around £30 in payments. The tuner isnt very good though and they are struggling with reception but I havnt tried to tune it myself yet. I wonder what would happen if they take them back to Argos - would they get a gift card?

The AXA site shows a picture of an Evesham Sat-nav but some people have mentioned receiving a Garmin. Does it vary what you receive? Is it possible to ring to find out which make their sending out at the moment.

Also the site mentions a 14 inch colour TV/DVD combi but people have mentioned a £129 LCD TV ??
