Sat Nav For Approx. £6

Off topic as far as I xan see and has qualities that would be appropriate to a Spam posting. The abbreviations are not uncommon in board and email communications and the post has little to do with insurance.
How exactly is it a spam post? The thread is regarding an offer that includes a free sat nav system. The relavence of the offer depends on how good the sat nav system is, does it not?
Therefore, I hunted it down and gave the info for fellow moneysavers. Why the hell I would spam a board about a crappy sat nav is beyond me.
And I've never seen those abbreviations before. Keep in mind not everyone is as up on them as you.0 -
TBH I saw nithing that related your post to insuranceThat's what made it spammish for me.0

I dont think it is spamish, just misplaced, after initially seeing this post by searching for 'new posts' it took me ages to find it later as I expected to find it in Quick! Grab it now, which I feel would have been the right place for this post to be.
Maybe a moderator with more power than us lowly mortals could move it as such and place a redirect?
BTW - My old man (Regional New Business Development Manager for L&V with over 30 years experience in the financial sector and insurance) has taken up the offer on the above advice.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

oldwiring, it appears that you missed the context: DazzaMc pointed out the details of the free gift being offered for taking out this insurance policy. Your spam detector seems to have misfired.0

So do you have to wait a year for the gift?
Do any of these abbreviations apply?
DLAGHITM don't look a gift horse in the mouth
BGBG beware G-eeks bearing gifts
IITGTBTIPI if it's too good to be true it probably is0 -

Sorry to Dazza for misjudging him. Yes my Spam detector version 1936 is getting a bit worn now. I think the value is rapidly depreciating.0 -
Anyone had any success yet, I'm seeing my dad tomorrow and will ask if he has had any arrangement paperwork in the post yet.
btw - L&V do not wait a year before doleing out 'free gifts', this would mean the company has to sit on these for a year, and the storage cost plus the number of queries as to 'where is my sat nav?' and the number of customers who will cancel early through not getting it early on, offsets distributing sooner.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!
