Good to hear you're roaring again, LC 2!
Really rotten news, elizabunny!I'll bet you so "oh dear"or something similar.
Not to worry, c'est la vie.
Your not a fraud, you donated your time to a very worthwhile cause, something that alot of people cant be bothered to do. You dont have to run the marathon to help with the fund raising, if people didnt go along and help on the sidelines these events wouldnt take place
I have to agree with jakes-mum,
Rosy, after all if it weren't for volunteers like you events such as the charity runs wouldn't be half as well organised. You made it all that much better. Brilliant to here you gave the findings in their pot too! :T
Excellent pottings, Loubell, may your partner keep right on dropping the cash - so long as it's nowhere else other than your home!!
What a glorious day for your partner's Brother's wedding on Saturday, Sam,they did brilliantly.
That a girl, little_sweetie, always keep your eye on the ball and don't let anyone else get there first - unless it's me!!!! :rotfl:
Good to see you popping in, mcjordi, you do well at the end of the month too, it all helps.
£10.03 in the pot after shopping.A lovely evening everyone, and a great day tomorrow.

little_sweetie wrote: »Hi all,
Just got back from my big food shop and I have done much better this week (that'll teach me to concentrate after last weeks booboo) I have potted 34p change which leaves me £6 for the weekend for a top-up for forgotten items and I also found 2 x 5p shiny roadkill coins that sparky had missed...now potted! Though I did have a good look around before I bent down to pick them up just in case I was about to be rugby tackled by him
Too late sparky they are in my pot :T
Glad you had a good weekend samtoby the weather was brill here too
I forgot to commiserate with you earlier elisabunny. What absolutely bad luck about your breakage. Are you covered by your guarantee or household insurance do you think? Worth a try anyway. Poor you
I have a confession to make...my throat feels suspiciously hot as if I have a sore throat coming  so I have poured myself a small brandy for medicinal reasons ( at this time of day? I hear you say  ) DD has had a horrendously sore throat so I might have caught the bugI HATE sore throats...
Happy potting everyone! x
Thanks little_sweetie, have checked both, but the guarantee won't cover accidental damage and the household insurance excess is higher than the cost of the replacement door:( So not much luck there really. However, I have been doing the 2nd Purse challenge and have enough saved to cover the cost of the new door. My new shower unit will have to wait a little longer. Hope you haven't caught your DDs bug:(
Sue-uu I can assure you I definately said 'Oh Dear!' but it didn't quite sound like that when the words came out:D As you say, c'est la vie, there are far more worrying things in life than a broken door and fingers crossed my replacement should arrrive tomorrow:D
PS I actually managed to drop two cookery books into a sink full of water too. Don't know what came over me yesterday:o
However, I have managed to drop 40p into my pot today.
Hope everyone else is doing well:)Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

I've been a bit naughty buying new clothes lately, but I'm reformed now.Can I get back on board?

You and your cat's head, mishmogs, I get awful visions. All the best with your fridge freezer...possibly a bit more too all being well.
He's a man, LC 2, they do things like that off the cuff, but quickly point any such things out pronto to us - before!elizabunny wrote: »PS I actually managed to drop two cookery books into a sink full of water too. Don't know what came over me yesterday:o
Not the best of days for you at all was it, elizabunny. Still, we all get em from time to time. Fingers crossed for the new door arriving.
Very well done, diddldonna, keep your eyes to the ground sniffer-dog style for roadkill.I've been a bit naughty buying new clothes lately, but I'm reformed now.Can I get back on board?
You'll be ok, black cat, just keep your purse closed. At least you have another 6 months to save - you can do it.
Keep up the saving, everyone, as b_e_g pointed out the other day, we're nearly at the half way stage so plenty of pot-filling time.Sue xAnyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's never too late.
