All I did was wander round for a few hours picking up rubbish - its the people who walked/hobbled 26 miles and raised thousands of pounds who are the :A :A !!!

Your not a fraud, you donated your time to a very worthwhile cause, something that alot of people cant be bothered to do. You dont have to run the marathon to help with the fund raising, if people didnt go along and help on the sidelines these events wouldnt take place

jakes-mum is quite right rosyq, you made the effort to get up really early and did something worthwhile to aid the fundraising. I applaud such a sterling effort :T I think you are a :staradmin

I'm going food shopping later and I must be extra careful this week after my accidental overspend last week I must remember to look out for sparky though :rotfl::rotfl:I'll pop in later to report....

Hi all,

Just got back from my big food shop and I have done much better this week (that'll teach me to concentrate after last weeks booboo ) I have potted 34p change which leaves me £6 for the weekend for a top-up for forgotten items and I also found 2 x 5p shiny roadkill coins that sparky had missed...now potted! Though I did have a good look around before I bent down to pick them up just in case I was about to be rugby tackled by him Too late sparky they are in my pot :T

I forgot to commiserate with you earlier elisabunny. What absolutely bad luck about your breakage. Are you covered by your guarantee or household insurance do you think? Worth a try anyway. Poor you

I have a confession to make...my throat feels suspiciously hot as if I have a sore throat coming :eek: so I have poured myself a small brandy for medicinal reasons ( at this time of day? I hear you say :eek: ) DD has had a horrendously sore throat so I might have caught the bug I HATE sore throats...

Afternoon all
little_sweetie just remember I can turn up any time!

2 X £2 coins in work for me today, so I'll pot them when I get home in the morning (01:00 am) still doing 12 hour days, I'll go and wander around the tea rooms soon to see if there's any coinage waiting to be snaffled in the vending machines.

I've potted my usual £2 plus 3 X 50p's into the Chicago & New York spending fund 2013

just checking in... not really much going in the pot these days.. due to me not spending as much as i used to which is good i suppose.. however at the end of every month i add the notes to the pot so it doesnt feel very heavy atm
