As my wife raided my 'sealed' pot twice and drained the contents entirely I've had to substitute in my 'penny jar'....

Last night it was emptied and counted, and there's a not-too shabby £84.15 in there! That's enough for a few drinks this weekend!

first £2 coin into the pot for SPC6 horrible empty sound though, dont like it

Decided to have a pot completely dedicated to £2 coins this time and another big tub for everything else, now to see if I can fill them

A good idea, girls, I'm not bragging in any way, but I've acquired one for each denomination; gifts from the littlies etc. :grinheart

I've got to admit that it's so exciting when you get loads of £2 come out :j, though a very painful left arm when doing both £1 terramundi as well as the £2. :shocked:At least the others have bungs in, but I like the terramuni, very decorative.

I just wanted to post a message for anyone who is either just joining or is disappointed in any way with their totals. PLEASE don't be disappointed. You have begun an incredible journey. Life isn't easy (or fair) sometimes but do stick with it and we will all make the saving journey together. When I joined this thread I had no idea how I could save even a small amount having been forcibly retired on just a state pension. With lots of encouragement from all of you I managed to save pennies here and there and got ideas how to sell stuff and economise. Now I am excited and can hardly wait for SPC6! elisabunny your £42 is just the start. Please don't be discouraged. We are all proud of you :beer:
