another 4.30 sofa scrapings in the pot. At the moment we are so hard up it's unbeleivable, so I'm really quite pleased that we'll have the contents of the pot for christmas.

  • I've been off the site for a long time and haven't potted as regularly as I would like. However, the pot is still proudly sitting on my shelf, so I've dusted it off and am pleased to see there is still over £36 in it which will help towards the Xmas festivities!

Sure I can boost it between now and break in time!

Thanks sparky, I've tried hard to relax this weekend and forget about it. Life will go on reqardless!

Jakes-mum I do agree with you, but I always feel nervous giving cash bags to the bank in case I've counted it wrong - they always look really annoyed!

Just potted 50p today donated by my OH. He has been lovely and put up with me being stressed out, now he's giving me money :D

Welcome Katy_ann and Homemadehappiness to the friendliest thread on mse! I know there's not long to go but it's never too late to start saving! You will have a lovely surprise on count up day when you see how all the pennies add up!

Please take the time to read post one on page one as this explains everything you need to know. Sue, who is the boss, will give you your very own number which you need to write in your signature - just ask how if that makes no sense! If you bank any money between now and count up day you need to add the amount to your Sig to help sparky count up the total. What else? Oh yes you'll need a sealed pot and you can count it as it goes in but many of us like the surprise of not knowing! what you choose to save for is entirely up to you but please let us know because some of us are nosy!

If you have any questions please ask! Now all you need is to sit back and enjoy the banter :D

A big welcome to you both to the happy world of the SPC challenge! It's never too late to start and once our lovely leader Sue-uu has allocated you a number, it's all yours for life so you can start really early for the challenge next year :A Everyone is getting so excited (including me ;)) about opening pot time 'cos we have all made a real effort despite tough times.

I just popped in to report a miserly 50p potted which is left from my pocket money this week. I'm going food shopping later so there might be a little bit more. Can I just say thank you to anyone who signed the online petition regarding VAT on hot chicken. We must keep plugging away!!

BTW sparky I can't get the thought of you looking like Mr Soft out of my mind :rotfl::rotfl:what are you like.......

Have a lovely day all x
