BT Arrrrrrrggghhhhh

i had the same thing happen to me,i was guilty of not checking the bills because i thought i was on unlimited, anyway i looked at my online banking for something and then discovered i was paying anywhere between £40 and 60 a month for unlimited calls/line rental and broadband.
after i spoke to bt,they told me that they had sent an email to my bt email account which i didnt know i had and had never used.
i asked for an explanation of why they sent the email to say your bill is online to my hotmail address ,but they couldnt explain it.
i was really not happy with this explanation but even so i stupidly re signed to an unlimited deal with phone and rental for about £29 a month for a year.
i will not stay with them after this year is up because whilst i realise i should have checked it seems pretty strange that they can use one email for one thing yet send notification to a unused, unknown bt e mail,i feel cheated by them but dont have the energy to fight about it:(0 -
It really is worth filling in the form as I've already suggested. Briefly state the circumstances and one of their 'secret' team (social media crew) will contact you.
Good luck0 -
TO DAVID at BT.......I have sent you a further message (email reply to yours) asking for some package clarification. Do you have it?
Thanks

But if you log into your account you can specify the address you require for notification. The BT address will be the default one in this instance. You don't need an email alert to tell you to log in and check your quarterly bills? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
yes, you are right, as i said in my original post, i am guilty of not checking them because i dont use the home phone ,only for free calls and i just assumed that my bill was being the same every month.
i know i am at fault,my only gripe was why send bill notifications to one e mail addy and over use emails to another one that i wasnt even aware of,thats why i am a bit miffed:)0
