I was recommended the website ‘themobs.com’ by my sister, on which I was attracted to a mobile phone contract deal.
I signed up to a 3 contract for 600 talk and text deal in May 06. I was sold the contract via themobs.com, with the understanding that it would cost nothing, and that although the amount of £35 would be deducted via direct debit each month by the service provider ‘3’, I would have this reimbursed via a redemption after 6months, provided I sent the correct paperwork to themobs, which I did, in November.
Having not heard anything from themobs I rang them, but apparently the line is terminated and the website closed down, having dug further, it has come to my attention that there are hundreds of people who have been let down by the company.
I want the money which I was promised back.

Does anyone know what I can do now? Or have any advice for me

Having read that there are many people who have been swindled by themobs.com I have decided to contact watchdog on the bbc. It returns on the 14th of March. I would suggest that everybody else does the same. I have also contacted my trading standards office via email. I also think that 3 have some responsibilty here but they seem to be blocking it all. They would have known that there was a problem sometime ago but still allowed themobs.com to sell deals for them. If I can't do anything about it I will be out over £400 for a really cheap LG refurbed phone. This is not the deal I signed up to.
