BT new line physical installation question
Comments
-
I have to ask, if there is a Virgin connection in place, WHY pay for a different line from an alternative supplier? VM used to be expensive, but currently the recent batch of BT changes have made them the dearest. Also, cable BB is far superior than ADSL, so I'd certainly think again.
first i have a 12 month contract from O2 broadband which is valid for another 9 months. secondly, as a low user i dont want to pay for a cable BB, especially when O2 keep giving me 6 month free every year when i renew.0 -
Are you on an O2 LLU exchange? If not you will only be getting the dire 02 Access service (non-LLU).
PO line rental is a standard BT reseller service. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Yes . (Assuming O2 supply the exchange)
how can i verify whether O2 supplies the exchange (dont even know what that means to be honest). i called O2 and asked this question and they said they can gurantee that it works on Bt line and O2 line but any other providers they can not guarantee..0 -

Look for O2 on the list of LLU providers in the results.
You can get 02 on any exchange, but that's not the same as an LLU service. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Go with the P.O. to get your BT line installed, there is no minimum term either, so if you want to review the situation in the shorter term and move there will be no penalty.
If O2 are not LLU at your new exchange (what is it by the way?), you can see what deal they offer you and compare to other alternatives.
Note: If you leave P.O Homephone within 6 months of a new line installation, they may charge £15 cancellation fee, still much cheaper than installations costs of £112.34 normally.0 -
There is a 6m minimum term on a PO new line install-they will charge you if you leave before that date.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
