Or just dont mention anything at all about where it has come from...but i think that could be classed as being purposely decietful.0 -

Well yes, but there's some difference between just surfing the internet and setting up the whole Ebay thing and everything that goes with it.0 -

So long as the item is being sold as used and not new, I can't see that the seller is being deceitful at all.I don't think there's any question of anybody 'lying' or 'covering things up'.

Theres absolutely NOTHING wrong with selling items on Ebay that have been bought from a charity shop.
I feel I can say this from a spokesperson point of view as I work in an RSCPA charity shop part time.
The charity shop have their profits from the item bought, I would much rather see an item recycled than thrown away.
You want to Ebay charity shop items (as long as you haven't pinched them) YOU GO FOLKS!!!!0 -

I do donate stuff to this charity shop and I buy loads of books there too (for me & my son, not to sell on).

Many 60 + people could also easily cope. I know quite a few pensioners who are computer literate and competent.
You don't automatically get stupid at 60. Well I hope not. I’m there in just over 5 years. :eek:0 -
A charity shop near me had a box-load of new video games and CDs for £2 each, about 10-20 each of 5 or 6 titles. I went in several times and bought up 4-5 of each. The guy said to me, what are you doing, selling them on eBay or something? I said "yes".
He thought this was great, and was more than happy to see them go - it's a popular shop and shelf space is very important to them, to keep goods revolving. Nobody else was buying these things, so he was delighted that I wanted them all. I eventually went and bought the whole lot, sold about half of them for £15-£20 each and the other half for about £5 each.
Everyone was happy - the charity got £150 or so from me, I made a few hundred quid, and a lot of Star Trek fans the world over were very grateful to me!For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...0 -
I buy from charity shops for myself and my baby daughter and have saved a fortune but I also sell things that I find their on ebay. I also donate things back though including a wedding dress recently which made them a lot of money and made the person who bought it cry. I also do freecylce lots of things so I think it works both ways. My profits usually go straight back into the charity shop!Trying to earn £2015 in 2015. Slightly early start

Update, postal order arrived for the cardi but I now feel so guilty that I think I'm gonna give her a new handbag (£1.50 from bargain crazy using 75% off code) which matches it perfectly. Does anyone else get that feeling off guilt and do you think I'm being silly for putting this in....not posting till monday so please let me know.0

Be careful of the weight if you're including a free gift - if it takes the weight above 1kg, the package will cost a lot more to post. I'm sure the customer would appreciate it though.0
