Court date set for Bank charges...Anyone else??

Hiya, seem to be getting more input over here now in the NI subforum which is GREAT!
I would say to anyone - definately go for it - Ive successfully won 2 claims already where they didnt defend and paid in about 15 days...This 3rd one is different (cos of the circumstances)but I have a great court bundle in the making here for my big day for assessment on 12th March!
Ive a big nightout on 9th and wont be fit for much on 10th , (or 11th - now that I`m gettin on) as they say (not)- so I have to get my stuff all photocopied now...I think I`m organised with what I `m bringing and just need to photocopy them.
I`ve a few more to do after this (credit cards) but I`ll wait till I get this pain outta the way...Then I`m going to claim for the closure of the account...0 -

Read the Courts Service website , particularly the Online Small Claims section . Think you have to register for this though .

Hi Denize - I have to jump in here to tell you that you wont get too many answers to your question about Ulster bank ...Why? because successful claimants are asked to sign a `confidentiality agreement` by them, when they offer you the money (after submitting a court claim)...
Its been known for people to refuse to sign it, and they still get their money, though I believe most sign it anyway!!!0 -
...and just to add, you really need to spend a lot of time searching and reading threads to find out everything you need to know..try the Bank Action Group too and others suggested in posts!
You then build up the confidence to know exactly what you`re doing and why...If you stick to the guidelines you`ll be fine :-)0 -
I have claimed back bank charges over 6 years
they offered me £260
2 weeks ago I wrote to the financial ombudsman to complain
I got a letter back today saying their process could take 6 months or more!
what should I do?0 -
You can write a letter to the bank accepting the £260 as PART settlement and proceed to the small claims for the rest...Hope this helps.:-)0
