Court date set for Bank charges...Anyone else??

Hiya, I have a date set against Nationwide in March. Its a `Decree for Assessment` and wondering if anyone else has had to go this far?
Could turn out to be interesting I think:cool:

Did you file the claim against Nationwide with the NI Courts or the court service in England?

And maybe the Banks are fed up with being ripped off by people who can't manage their finances and this is the start of the fight back!

they will pay uo before the court date. Dont panic :)
  • How can you be so sure tho Honey...they`ve went this far before havent they? I dont mind going to the court - it is a bit nerve wrecking but at the same time I am looking forward to having my case seen by a judge :-)

One of the banks defended their case in a NI court and won.

So don't get your hopes up ;)
  • BTW...Jonnyinbelfast - thanks and GO FOR IT! Brings an old SLF tune to mind and Hect63 -Is that THE Martin or A Martin? (smile)
  • Just picking up on this. I havn't got as far as court proceedings yet. I made claim for just over £1000 and they responded offering £250. I am about to refuse and advise will go to court unless settled in next 7 days - will accept £800 as I now realised my original letter included claim for interest charges which can't be refunded.
As a matter of interest when did yo actually lodge claim with court and when did you get date?
I note response from DesG stating a bank has successfully defended - anybody know who this was?
Also, has anybody in NI actually proceeded to court and won or even received satisfactory settlement before court?
