  • Hi everyone, quick question...

I've finally racked up a decent number of Swag Bucks (1389 to be exact) and am wondering what the best way is to cash in? There was a £10 Amazon card on there recently but doesn't seem to be there anymore, so I'm thinking maybe a $10 Paypal payment would be best? Also, it says something about emailing me this... does it not just go into my Paypal?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Also, any tips on how to get more Superpoints? It's taking me absolutely ages!

    Thanks

There's not been a £10 amazon card available on swagbucks as long as I've been on it. (As far as I know there's never been one). In SB the best value for 'money' is the £5 amazon voucher for 849 sb. Though if you prefer paypal it goes straight into your account (eventually) and is automatically exchanged to GBP ($10 is about £6 and costs 1335 sb).

In contrast the paypal is better value from superpoints where the £5 amazon voucher and the $10 paypal are both 1000 points.

The easiest way to get SPs is active 'friends'. The more 'friends' you have the higher your membership type and you get more turns on the superluckybutton. If they are active you get whatever they win too.

You can boost your points by doing surveys and special offers. Check for videos, both under videos and Matomy (and Radium One if you prefer to have them credited from SP rather than SB).

Thanks for your help FracturedSun. I must be going mad... I could've sworn I saw a £10 Amazon card a few weeks ago under the rewards section as I was working towards it! Oh well. I might hang on then until I have x2 849 sb and then get x2 £5 Amazon cards. Hmmmm... I would really like actual money rather than vouchers (as am trying to pay off debts) but I can probably find something I need to buy on Amazon. Do you know if you can keep the Amazon vouchers for some time without using them? As I might save them up for something decent.

Not sure SP will ever work that well for me as none of my friends are inclined to use such sites. I have a 'sausage' on the 'sausage' boards but only 1 taker so far. I always get phased out of all surveys - no-one wants to know anything about a 30 year old with no children who lives alone, doesn't buy much and doesn't have control over the IT decisions at work! Lol :rotfl:

    Thanks :)

!!!!!! - Just checked my latest payslip to see if my employer had sorted out my tax code etc (they had). My NI number has changed on my payslip ?!?!?! I'm not going mad am I? I thought they stay the same for life, certainly mine since I got it at 16. I'm guessing some sort of admin error on my employers part but now I'm worried that the tax and insurance might be credited to someone else not me.

I forsee a lot of tiresome phone calls in my future. Though I hope payroll will just sort it out for me, I've rung them. At least I have the habit of checking each one so I know the others are all correct and I caught it quickly.

Yes your NI number does stay the same for life. My daughter has just had her 16th birthday and she got a credit-card sized card with hers embossed on it, just as I did when I was 16. Same system. Same number. Definite problem if that has changed so good you noticed so quick.

I think they last for a year. Following what someone else mentioned on here, I copied the voucher codes from the Amazon vouchers from both TCB and Swag$$ and put them onto my Amazon account, so they are sitting there looking at me. I am going to save them up for Christmas :T

:oSaved £2.10 buying flowers for my mother-in-law and my brother-in-law as my sister-in-law died last night after a bit of a battle with breast cancer :( How MSE is that! To make sure you use the discount codes and go through TCB when sending sympathy flowers!? Felt a bit guilty afterwards that I'd even though about it, but I've done it now :o

Yes you can store amazon vouchers (it's better to leave them on your amazon account rather than your swagbucks account as it's more secure). Mine paid for half my smart blu-ray player (then I got impatient and used some of my shiny things savings for the other half) though I tend to spend them on DVDs, books and (recently) blu-rays before they really build up for big purchases.

Or 31 year olds who are the same either;).

They promise me they are sorting it out..... I'm sceptical, we'll see.

Thanks Vick, that's a good idea... I always end up buying Chrismtas gifts on there.

Haha I was feeling like the survey people just don't like me... not just me then! Lol :p

Hmmmm got me thinking, I could do with a blu ray player... my dvd player is slowly dying on me I think (getting increasingly tempramental). However, I'll try and resist for now and build the vouchers up for presents.

Thanks for the help people :T

  • P.S. fractured sun - your NI number should never change! I thought you meant tax code when I first read that (which can obviously change).

I'm a bit lost already with my total and its only been a few days :o doesn't bode well :rotfl: must check up and add things to siggy and that spreadsheet thing i made before :D

Anyway, just claimed another SP payment :D thats 3 i have processing now so should get them soon - any of you that are stuck on lower levels have you thought about asking your friends or family members to sign up for an account even if they never use it? As long as they do the basic profile it will help get your cashout levels lowered and increase your clicks giving you more of a chance to get points even if they don't actually add to your totals ;) Don't forget they don't even have to use their main email address if they are worried about spam (not that you get any from SP). Hope you get moving up the levels soon guys!!

I know i have more payments to add, just need to check amounts :o

    Zopa: 36p
    Ebay: £1.31

Have about 6 items with bids on too so far :j

Just got 2 of my sp payments through - £6.08
