My stance on it would be that the £200 up front you paid was the shortfall between the cost of the phone and the payments towards the cost of the phone made via the monthly payments.Thanks, I have mentioned that to them, but maybe I need to make it clearer and fight my corner a little more!
If I had apart of the Orange contract that told me I owned it from day 1 I'll be sailing!
This means that to be fair if they are willing to call it a day on month 11 out of a 24 month contract and require you to return the phone then they would owe you 13/24ths of the £200 circa £108It's not just about the money0 -
The options are:
1) Keep the contract running until the end and then leave
2) Pay off the contract and leave now
3) Send the phone back and call it quits
The network are under no obligation to let you out of the contract in this instance as you decided to move address. That isn't the networks fault. If they're happy to let you out of the contract they'll expect the phone back to cover the cost of settling the airtime charges. They won't refund the phone cost to you.

Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
Are you sure the O2 signal in your home will be good on the iPhone, the reason I ask is that both the OH and I are on O2, at our old flat I could get a full signal on my Nokia 5800 but she would get no signal on her iPhone.
Now we've moved her signal is a little better but I still get a much better signal on my S2 and recieve 3G where she doesnt.
In my expreience the iPhone itself is usually the problem and not the network.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

It is when the transfer of primary location decision was based on Orange saying the signal was very good as per the OP's first postThe network are under no obligation to let you out of the contract in this instance as you decided to move address. That isn't the networks fault.I recently moved house, to an area Orange said was 'very good' yet I found I could never get signal.It's not just about the money0
