bit worried now, i am got email confiming the 3 tickets i brought for me an 2 friends on 13-12 ant manchester, my friend phoned her husband all excited, then he told her that he had just heard on the radio that it was urging people not to but tickets for take that because of the scams around!!!!!!!  anyone else heard anything like this or are see tickets ok????????/
    please advise

I have bought through See tickets before and have been pleased with their service - don't worry. I think the radio is referring to ebay etc.

  • It's rediculous really. SeeTickets clamp down heavily on people selling tickets on Ebay, going out of their way to catch sellers out. Now though, with them allowing multiple orders ( not knocking anyone who's got away with that ), providing sh!te seats when you are expecting good seats for your money, and not allowing you to swap them or return them for better seats now on offer, they are actively encouraging people to sell on Ebay !!!

I have just tested this by trying to buy 2 tickets and deliberately putting in a wrong digit, it would not let me proceed stating the card number was wrong, however it would let me proceed with the wrong expiry dates but as I don't want the tickets i didn't......definately something fishy.

Really? i think they have seriously messed people around - I have been reading on take thats message boards and this seems to have happened to a LOT of people - I think I was robbed!

Lol, took me ages to work out what T or B meant !!

I'd accept those ! ( I've gone for Block D at the NEC *whispers* though front row ;) )

Your litte girl can stand on the chair.... alternatively when I took my two young kids to the X Factor tour ( now lost all cred ;) ) I took a couple of those plastic baby sink step things that I got cheap from Poundstretcher ! Worked a treat, the kids were as tall as me !!! :D

That's a great idea and I mean for me! I'm in row W at the side of the SECC and I won't see much of anything.

It's ridiculous that Ebay are asking promoters to let people sell on ebay.
Fair enough if they are at face value, but people are blatantly playing off the misfortune of others - and their mindless stupidity to pay stupid prices.

And why would the promoters say yes??
Money through ticket sales goes to the band - say 35% or so per ticket.
Any money being made from tickets by touts is straight into their own pocket - so Take That are not making the money.

The fact is that touting is illegal, much like selling bootleg cd's or dvds.

But, like I said, if people are dumb enough to pay £350+ for 2 hours at a concert then they evidently have money to burn!!
