Is the jag rate of £11 for days? Can anyone advise is there a shift allowance.

And from what I hear at landrover if you can hack it and do your time with the agency and get your 4 stc out of the way then you do eventually get a contract. I was told there's an agreement thrashed out with the union that only a certain percentage can be agency, as the company grows and recruits more then those with the service are made up to allow for more agency workers

Some good information in this thread folks!
Can somebody confirm what the hourly rate difference is between Jaguar and Land Rover with any shift allowances and overtime included?

I'm currently going through the recruitment process but have been asked by another agency to go and take a skills test for metal finishing within body and white. This involves removing pressing marks from the shells before they go to paint.

Salary hasn't been mentioned so I wanted to go armed with the knowledge of what people are getting roughly.

Just gt call now To go to solihul... Start Monday too at 7am... I asked about what happens After 6 weeks as the lady explained that if they didn't need me anymore at the landrover site after the cover ... I wud be on a priority list for castle bromwich jaguar.... An that they aim to keep us in employment... And she said that jaguar At the moment aren't recruiting .... I had my successful email

6 weeks is very small duration but i think we will continue at some place after that i guess..

applied for Land Rover in februar, been successful waited for the call, they called me at june that they stopped recruiting there, and offered me an opportunity to reapply for jaguar, which i did, ive been waiting since than, been told after my interview that everything is okay, ive been successful again, just wait for the call. been waiting since than, got the email last week as the others as well, that it will take another 2 months probably, i was caaling them but always the same answer: we are waiting for the order fromJLR . anybody in the same boat?

Hi all,

Got an email the other day saying i had passed the application stage and to book myself on to attend assesment day at Warwick uni, which i have and to complete an online test which i've got to do within 7 days. Can anyone shed any light on what to expect at the assessment day, and would it be wearing a suit or more casual? And also although it asks you on the application your preferred location (in my case Solihull or Castle Brom) can you be put at either if i were to be sucessful? Never actually had to go to an assesment day or anything like that so it's very new to me!! Any advice would be appriciated. Thanks : )
