had my online assessment 13/8/12. had a call back 40mins after completing it saying i had past and i was through to the next stage. had my manual assessment 29/8/12. it was a 2 part test. 1. was the brake assembly and 2. was the getting in & out of the car body shell and placing 2 & 3 magnets in 3 different places in the car. after this i was requested to resit the online test again to prove it was me who took it 1st time around. To b honest I thought I did crap on the 2nd part cause i'm no spring chicken, small and overweight. when the administrator told me i would hear either way in 72hrs i wasnt holding my breath for a positive outcome. Next day i got the email thanking me for attending the manual test and i would hear from them between 30-60 days. 20mins later i got a phone call asking me to attend the interview next Tuesday (4th Sept)
at 7:30am. my head is in a total spin cause of how quick the process has run for me and i've only got 4 days b4 the interview so any info would be well appreciated

  • info for interview.

4 hours of what seems endless waiting around for various things to happen.

go into manpower office, fill in forms.
have interview with a member of manpower team. (dont ask about the questions because i wont say as its unfair for those who've already completed it)
wait some more, then go for drug screening
wait around again until you see pera people. fill more forms in
go home and await email/phone call

I'd just like to thank anyone on here who may have built my Sportbrake!

We've got three of the first ones as part of a potential fleet (2 a week) order; all the 3.0s Portfolio models in white(1) and black (2) with black wheels/windows; had mine for about 3 hours and done 140 miles in it (just to give it a go). My Russian twins (divisional managers) are happy with the black ones, too!

    THEY'RE AMAZING CARS!

  • hi smunchkinp,

i wouldn't expect anyone to tell me the questions which will be asked as u said that would be totally unfair, just wanted to know what to expect and you've answered that for me. thank you
  • hi, the interviews a long process, i suggest bringing some food and drink as everyone in there was starving. The interview is just standard and to the point, keep yourself alert as the waiting around can cause you to go off track a little.

Iv had my email today and i guess its just a matter of waiting around, anyone heard anything about the next batch of staff?

    Interesting article from may ...quote:

The document also calls for an increase in the annual reduction in manpower labour from five per cent to seven per cent, including improved working practices to cut costs.

So, after 3 weeks of torture, got my phone call to start today! Starting Monday! Word's can't describe the relief. Just want to say thanks to everyone who provided support and assistance, from day one, particularly BigDen. To those who are waiting, don't give up, keep the faith, i know it's easier said than done, believe me. But you will get there! They are still actively recruiting people for assessments and stuff so don't be put off!

Anybody need any help, Just ask.
  • Well done mate thats great news . Can imagine you will be cracking a few beers tonight to celebrate.

Please post on your progress, give us the inside track if you could
