im one of those people who have done the interview and have received the email about being successful etc. My interview was the 7th, i recieved the email on the 8th, i phoned up yesterday to see what was going on, i asked the lady if i secured the job position and she said "all we are waiting for now is your start date", but i asked a few times if the position was definitely mine, and she did say yes..

I also asked why some people are getting called back straight away apposed to me who has been waiting for a reply, and she said that theres a priority list, as in, people who have holidays booked within 6 months will have to wait longer than those who havent booked any, and people who have to give notice in their jobs will have to wait abit longer than people who dont need to give notice.

So i guess the people who didnt get the job at Landrover presumably had holiday / had to give a big notice in their last jobs and have been put on a waiting list.

The good news is, the people who had the successful email , have secured the position, its when they give you the start date. Thats what the lady on the phone said to me anyway, i presume she is right.

If anyone else has phoned up then please let me know if these details are incorrect, or if someone can phone them and clarify that would be great.

Just thought i'd share with you what i've heard anyways..

Yeah, well im hoping its true! But yeah i agree with you, it's just over whelming and too good to sound true at the minute untill im actually on the phone with a start date,

(to all the people who have had a start date, did you say you had a holiday / notice to leave your jobs?) just too clear the water a little,

but if anyone could call up soon just to see if my information could match up with what anyone else says to them that would be great :)

I know its easy to say but try not to worry to much this monday 20th august will be the second batch of starters 100 in each group i think and so on so forth each week so dont worry to much if you have not had a date yet the logistics of getting people in for assessments, interviews, the 2 week induction, the NVQ training is new to the process it must a mammoth task there was 9000 applicants in the first 2 weeks you can imaging the how much work it is for the staff try to sit tight your call maybe around the corner
