Unlucky mate, that's the hardest place to be in by all accounts.

I know it's abit late, but u als ok started my actual work this week in Fa1. And what Benbb has said is true it's a hard graft but for me personally as the third day on its slightly easier than the previousas I've better with the work and pace, it's just a matter of time til your used to it.

gazBerg, could you tell me if you work hard and do all the work that your trainer taught you, would they still keep you on?

My friend had a problem that works there through manpower and they put her in physio and into a different job so I don't see why it would be any different for you . Also what was pay like for your weeks training and do you have any idea of next start dates ?

Hopefully someone warned you that you'll hurt when you first start? Aches and pains are to be expected at first but will ease over the next few weeks.

If you feel the pain is due to the job you're being expected to do then you can get someone from ergonomics to evaluate the process.

If you feel that the job would be fine for someone taller/shorter etc then swapping with some other new starter might be a solution.

If the pains were a problem before you started then that's a different issue altogether.

My first process was horrendous on my fingers but everyone in my section knew it and was sympathetic. Eventually something just clicked and I was flying. Every process thereafter was a breeze.

Being on a tough job in FA1 is hard going but it'll do you good in the long run.
