  • Thanx for all the help to everyone.

I am really stressed, as I know I will have to do the online assessment again. I wil be honest and say I got help from a friend with this as I am really crap with tricky questions and the fact it is timed screws me up.

I know their is 60 questions in one test and about 30 in another.

My question is to all those that have done the online assessment the second time.

Roughly how many questions did you answer?
Surely it is hard to answer all questions in the time given?

If anyone could let me know then I can set my self a target and hopefully stress a little less on the day.

    Thank you.
  • don't worry about the online tests, just read the previous posts.

I completed 60 out of 60 for first test just in time! can be done but anything above 50 would be totally fine!

yeh I really pushed the team work that I need! I have a quick brain for coming up with rubbish like that but I had no experience in the production line! really didn't think that would be an issue though as you get fully trained!

So do they ask about production experience? And is this a big factor for then? I have no experience on a production line but have worked as part of large teams within the construction industry.
  • no they dont.

the interview revolves around 4 sections: quality, teamwork and two others which escape my brain!

there are 18 questions altogether and heya hey are basically asking for experience relating to each of these!

The online assessments are easy when you read the questions correctly, its just how you read them.
Came across this on youtube wink wink.

Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.
  • Hi all,

As suspected, I literally just got my rejection email through. Learn from my mistake guys and don't screw anything together until you've lined EVERYTHING up. It takes too long to correct it. It's not hard at all and I was so !!!!!! off with myself when I left the centre for making a stupid careless error. Mainly because I'm usually pretty good at attention to detail.

Sometimes it's not a good idea to do too much research, as you build up a picture of what it's all going to be like. I knew in advance about the 4 green bolts and that is what was in my head..."4 screws...must be diagonal...don't mess up" ...of course there are 4 screws BUT there is also the fifth element...the long thing that needs to be aligned. DON'T FORGET IT.

To answer a couple of questions posted earlier -

By diagonally I mean - imagine a square with a screw hole in each corner. You fix the first screw in any one of the holes...easy...the next screw MUST be fitted in the corner diagonally opposite. So if the first one was put in the bottom left hole the next one MUST go in the top right hole.

By offering up I mean aligning the two parts...'offering up'.

Back to the job search for me.

    Good luck all.

    Magic.

Sorry to hear that mate. I think it's a ashame they seem to be basing their decisions on a task that isn't really relevant to the job. Someone who might have worked in production for years but aren't very good at assembly tasks are just going to be discarded after failing the brake task. Seems a strange way of doing things. Can I ask a question could you explain what the white nylon bolt is for?

Thanks mate and good luck in your job search
