Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.0

Hi, thanx to all for the information on this thread.
is it possible if anyone could tell me more about the online test please? Are the questions the same ? Or similar ?
Also on the magnet test was their a time limit?
Lastly have any of you done a drug test? Or is a drug test involved?
Many thanx.0 -
Online test are 95% similar. if you did ok before you should have nothing to worry about.
I believe the magnet test was timed.
Has anyone here gone through the interview process? What does that involve? What are the tests like? What questions were asked?
Any help would be great!0 -
If you have managed to get as far as you have done to the second online test on your own merrit then you shouldn't have a problem as i belive it is very similar. The magnet test is 12 minuits odd i believe, but it is easily completable less than that.
@ Bigden, a few questions if you don't mind pal.
1) Someone mentioned that after you have attached the pedal box to the servo you attactch four green nuts, is there a central nut? Do you attacht these nuts and tighten them by hand or by using the torque wrench?
2) Then you attach two red bolts from underneath, do these attach the servo to the pedal also? How fiddly is it? I have huge hands
3) Then you attach the sensor by pushing it on and turning it?
I know there is a nylon nut involved somewhere and a shiv ( is the shiv only used to remove the socket from the tourque wrentch?
What comes after this? Im just trying to get an idea of what to expect.
thanks!
1. The four green nuts are to be finger tightened then you use a wrench, no central nut it is like a square four nuts go in each corner....they must be put on diagonally if you know what I mean. And finally you use a wrench to tighten them.0 -

Ah i see, thats something my father taught me! does it matter which corner you start with? What are the two red nuts and bolts used to hold in?
Do you use the Shiv as leverage on the rod to hold it in place as you tighten the nut at the same time? How dificult is it to where you need to place the red nuts and bolts and the white nut? I ask cus my hands are huge.0 -
Hi, im booked in for the manual assessment next week, can anyone whos already been tell me if there was any women applying?
Thanks0 -
Sarah, I've only come across maybe 4 or 5 women who work on the line. Some of the lads are complete perverts and spend most of the day talking about !!!!!! and lasses they want to 'buck'. It's quite pathetic really but if you get offered a job don't worry, a quick word to the team leader and it'll soon stop. 95% of the people there are nice people who only want to do their part and go home, but the other 5% are a waste of time and most people avoid them.
It really is a good place to work, I use to wake up everyday dreading going to work, but I don't have that same feeling at JLR. The work is quite boring after doing 20 or so cars, but talking to the other people and just 'switching off' helps loads. I try to switch off and just go on auto pilot, before I know it, the buzzer has gone off and it's break time.0 -
