Another quick thanks to those who replied to my questions about the interview. Roll on Wednesday!
  • If you work overtime does anyone know what the rates are

Hi Alex, no questions, just the assessment.
    Best of luck

Thanks for the reply v12. Must say I'm a bit nervous for the assessment as I've never had any experience in this line of work. I will take your advice from an earlier post. To listen and take your time.

The last day of training at the last minute before you left and not everyone in the training room has been given a specific shift as at present there isn't the need for the manpower for another 8 weeks I'm led to believe

Thanks for your answer. I'm really surprise to be honest. It's not nice to stay without work for 2 mc after training, but on another side this people are sure that later they will start a good job.
Do you know if there was more than your and this 50pp groups?
I hate this waiting game ;( but on another side maybe its better to wait one more month than do a training and stay without job for a while. ..
  • Hi all, I am in a similar boat to a few of you, although I am not as far down the line.
I was wondering what the percentage of people who get kept on is? I am in a full time permanent job, but the wage is really poor, hence why Jaguar is appealing. However, I would be gutted to get a job through Manpower only to be told 12 months down the line I am to be laid off, leaving me without a job. I know they take a shedload on in one go, but does anyone have any stats for people who get a Jaguar contract when the Manpower one is finished? Thanks

As long as you are good worker you should get a contract. If they recruit 1700 pp now those people shouldn't lose this job quickly. And definitely there is a rule first in last out.

Someone has been telling you lies, I can tell you that's not the case.

Yes another group started yesterday I believe, however the word is there won't be another intake till mid may in line with the launch of production of the new jag.

How likely is it that you'd be stuck on the day shift long term? The day rate is a big pay drop for me, I'd really need to be on the 3 shift rate.

So do I have this right: people got the job, left their original job, attended training, and then are told there is no work for two months?!
