  • Hello, just an update on my application.

I received an email last Wednesday saying I passed the manual assessment and got a phone call today to book my interview which is this Wednesday coming up.

The guy mentioned some form of assessment would take place alongside the interview and drugs test. This is worrying me a little bit as people here have mentioned they just had to do the interview/test. Wondering if it's a re-sit of the online thing or if it's maths/English skills. For those who have done their interview, how did you find it?

    Thanks for your time!

I got interview and drug test only. We didn't have any re-test of online assessment or any other tests.

Whats the deal with holiday pay? JLR have a 2 week shutdown in August- do Manpower staff continue to be paid through this or are we paid 'extra' on our basic that is to cover holidays?

    Hope ive made sense

Hate waiting, some have heard already, others like me are still waiting. Guess there isn't a set time span for the call

You are paid for time during shut down from your holiday entitlement. If you are going to start now then until shut down you will work for 3months what gives you 7,5 paid days for 10 days of shut down.

So you would be off for 10 days but paid only for 5?

It all depend how many days you will work before shutdown. Its more or less 2,5 days off for every month of work. You can count it on gov website.
  • You accrue .5 of a holiday each full week you work for manpower. You get asked if you want to get paid for each 'day off' JLR have so to say.

So bare in mind they don't work a week Monday, Tuesday for bank holiday as we work this Friday.

The basic rate you recieve is for days, they have a specific set rate for shifts that you get paid as a standard across the 3 shift work. Which means basically you don't get your shift allowance as it's built into your pay.

Finished my training now, so time to work on the track! Luckily I've worked there before so I know what to expect !
