Just had a confirmation email saying 12.45 at Wolverhampton .
Oooh what to do what to do ???0 -
It all depend on how good at work you are. 12 months with manpower is obligatory for everyone and thats the most important time as it's very easy to be fired. After that you will get temporary contract for 3months or half year... in general maximum after a year time you are getting permanent contract. . Decision is make by your supervisor0

I know it's a period of time before you get a JLR Contract, but what's this based on?
Me and my girlfriend are looking at purchasing our first home, so like many security extremely important.
As Gavin said 12 months with Manpower, then 12 months JLR STC (short term contract) then full time contract, never heard of 2 years STC.
As long as you keep your nose clean there should be no reason not too reach the full time contract after two years (plus a nice pay rise)
Time keeping and attendance are paramount, especially when with Manpower, they can and have made people do 3 months extra on Manpower because of these.
Other than that, there is as much security as with any job nowadays, although things are looking very good at the moment with massive, multi million pound, investment into the company at all sites.0 -

emma i would assume the next intake will the the beginning of may as one of my friend was one of the ones taken in on the 1/04. he said that he's in a class room learning stuff for 3-4 weeks and then they they get put on the main production line. i so would assume once there done they take the next batch through.
minty my friend went to the castle vale skils centre for his assessment and got placement at the solihul plant.0 -
