manual assessment at Jag/Land Rover

If I remember correctly the rate was 10.45 or thereabouts. With around 50p added for shift allowance. Still trying to figure if its worth leaving my current job when you factor fuel and wear/tear costs.0

Think I might stick to cleaning windows then .0

Hiya
I passed the online test in January for wolverhampton engine plant, and told I'd be contacted in due course, then I had an email from manpower end of February telling me I would have to re-do the test as jag made changes to it. I reapplied but by this time wolverhampton was closed so had to apply for Solihull/Castle Bromwich. However I got a call from manpower on Friday stating I'd PASSED online test for wolverhampton and I have my manual test tomorrow @ 2pm :j0 -
No one told you that its just starting rate?? After a year timr you are getting 10 % more, anoyher year again 10% more ... finally after 4years you have 95% of jlr rate what gives you almost 15£/h... plus bonuses and shift allowance. ..
Do whatever you want guys.. but I don't think it's bad rate.0 -

That's at Solihull and CB, don't know about Wolves plant as I think it will have different terms and conditions.
I'm on 80%, permanent nights (through choice) and last tax year earned £32,500. Go to 90% end of year so another c£60 a week.0 -
Halewood is the same. I I don't think this one would be different as its all jlr family
but I would prefer to call and ask than guessing

32k is certainly a jump from what I earn now. I'm going yo do the assessment anyway (I've already passed it once) got nothing to lose.0

Also, how long are you under manpower for?0
-
12 months with Manpower.
The 32K is on permanent nights with a few Saturdays OT, days only would work out at c25k. Also that is on 80%.
New starters are going to be on 70% for the 12 months with Manpower so c21k, then up to the 80% for 12 months and onto 90% after another 12 months then each 12 months - 92.5% - 95% and who knows what will happen in future pay deals?0 -
Hi everyone,
Had an email this morning confirming I had passed the manual assessment and that they would be in touch `in due course` they then say it may be a while due to the number of applicants.
So, yes i`m buzzing with excitement (again) just got to wait now......
Anyone else had similar emails today following last weeks manual assessment?0
