Hey guys i been reading this thread today as i did 2 years ago .
I applied a couple of years ago and got offered a start in lode lane as my brother also got a start he is now on a jlr contract working at the land rover plant .
I however started up my own window cleaning business and often thought what if i had taken the start ?
So in january i done the online assessment for the wolverhampton jobs didn't hear anything then today out of the blue i had a call asking if i were still interested and would i like to go for an assessment on tuesday ?
I said yes and to email me the info .
But they haven't emailed me so i rang the number they called from and the switchboard was closed , So what now ?

Also a quick one what is the pay rate for wolverhampton ?
Its been a while so i have forgotten what they were advertising .

Thats exactly what happened with me today. Out the blue had a phone call at 8am this morning. I phoned after 4pm and the board was switched off. Ill try tomorrow morning hopefully they will back on. Thanks for the info on the assessment, helps me at least kind of know what to expect.

They look at your total score from: experience, online assessment, manual assessment and interview. And they hire people with highest scores first.
The email that we passed doesn't mean that we will get a job in a week... I know some people who waited 2years!!! Actually it was on halewood but still. So you never know.
I wish we all would get it quick, but better to not be too excited.

When I got my manual assessment last week the guy said it was 17000 online applications and 7000 passed... so they all have now assessments. 3 years ego in halewood for 1000 positions more than 30000 people applied.. it's why some of them got a job even two years later.
  • What exactly happens regarding contracts through man power if successful?

I know it's a period of time before you get a JLR Contract, but what's this based on?

Me and my girlfriend are looking at purchasing our first home, so like many security extremely important.

Im pretty sure its a 12 month temporary contract then after that a 3 month rolling contract with jlr for either 1 or 2 years then a full contract .
