    Hey guys,

Just signed up to ask about this subject as this forum by far has the best info about the process.

I have my manual assessment on Monday at the Castle Vale Skills Centre. I know it used to be a brake test/agility test but apparently it has changed slightly now?

I was wondering if any one who has recently done the test would be willing to run me through it a bit, just so I can get an idea of what to expect when I get there.

Any replies will be gratefully received and will help settle my nerves a little bit too!

    Thank you!
  • I also have a manual assessment on monday too. The woman i spoke to on the phone told me it was in Wolverhampton @ 9am and told me ill receive email including all the details. Haven't received anything atm so im kind of stressing out haha.

    Thanks v12!

Just a couple more questions. You say don't rush. Does this mean you aren't timed any more? Also when you are taken into the room, are you alone or with others?

And lastly, is this something someone with little mechanical experience would find hard? I have experience working on my own motorbikes but nothing major, just bits and bobs. I know you say you found it easy but would I be ok with such small experience?

    Sorry for the inquisition!

It's 6 people and 6 cars.. all people start at the same time. 8 minutes to finish.
    Good luck
  • hi everyone.

been watching this thread for about a week now. is it safe to assume you haven't got the job is you don't receive the "you have completed the third stage email" the next day? i had my face to face yesterday and i thought it went really well. i just want to put my mind at rest.

Hey guys i been reading this thread today as i did 2 years ago .
I applied a couple of years ago and got offered a start in lode lane as my brother also got a start he is now on a jlr contract working at the land rover plant .
I however started up my own window cleaning business and often thought what if i had taken the start ?
So in january i done the online assessment for the wolverhampton jobs didn't hear anything then today out of the blue i had a call asking if i were still interested and would i like to go for an assessment on tuesday ?
I said yes and to email me the info .
But they haven't emailed me so i rang the number they called from and the switchboard was closed , So what now ?

Also a quick one what is the pay rate for wolverhampton ?
Its been a while so i have forgotten what they were advertising .

I think the time scale alter day by day! . You may wait days or even weeks according to some of the posts on here, so I wouldn`t worry too much.
