Gift vouchers are a lovely way of turning cash into something which has an expiry date, can only be used in selected shops and are useless when the shop goes bust. When will people learn?0

Have you perhaps given any thought to the staff who turned up to start their shift to be greeted with the same sight?
Or the staff who were perhaps busy tidying the store, or even serving a customer when administrators walked in, demanded all the public leave, and instruct the manager to lock the doors as the store was being closed for good?
The staff have been going through turmoil not knowing who was going to be made redundant. Store closures were announced by administrators walking into stores to close them. I'm sure some places got warning, but many didn't. No one knows if it's over yet, there may still be closures ahead.
And you're complaining about losing £10? These people's lives have been shattered, how can you be so shallow?

Did a quick search but couldn't see anything - are people aware that Game reward cards have been reactivated?
Can purchase pre-owned games only at the moment. Gift cards (and store credit) still invalid for the time being.0 -

I read that in today's paper. I've just gone online to check the points balance on my reward card and it says Reward card points-unavailable and Reward card balance-unavailable. I'm going to check again later.0 -
I have a GAME gift card from Christmas, it's worth £30... I also haven't been able to get close to a GAME store in the past few months for various reasons.
I will be furious if I lose the value of this gift card.
Where's the customer protection for shops going into administration when they offer gift card services ???
This is unacceptable.
In a nutshell I will tell everyone who ever buys me a present to NEVER get gift cards... what a con!0 -

It's a disgrace that GAME's loyal customers (many of which are kids) are out of pocket because the suits at GAME messed up with an over ambitious expansion programme. The new owners should do the right thing and accept all gift cards - after all, they were paid for with hard earned cash!0 -
