Just had to go the sorting office to collect a missed parcel. It turned out to be a test item  Came in a cube box, so wouldn't ever fit through the mail box. Hope this isnt a sign of things to come, that they are going to start sending parcels that won't fit through your door.

First time I have had the box ones, luckily I was in, I was wondering what it was and thought I had won something nice :D

As part of being on the panel you have to send maybe 1 or 2 of these (and receive the same) during your active time...

they were introduced about a year ago...it does add a little to your time espcially if you have to travel to a post office, they clearly cant fit it a post box...or you are out when they are attempted delivery, and you need to collect from the sorting office.

They are now classed as a standard item rather than a one off thing. I have had no less than 6 in 2 months.

Yes, I think the number of parcels was the final straw for me. The post office is miles away, so finally decided to call it a day and have withdrawn from the main panel.

Shame as I've been a panellist for at least 5 years. I used to quite enjoy it, but recently the amount I've been asked to post has been ludicrous, and when there is a query it can be difficult to get through on the phone to get them to sort it out.

On the plus side, I still have enough stamps to last for several years :T

They had better not send me that many (almost finished with my retraining) as I don't live near a post office - any parcels get posted on the one day a week I go into the city centre and if they don't like it then they can shove it where the sun don't sign, really dreading starting the full survey again as it seems to have gone from bad to worse in the few months I've been rested. I might get lucky and they have no room for me yet, lol, two books of stamps for training is easy work :)

I received the first of these cube box parcels today and the lengths my Postman went to get it to me made me feel rather embarassed as I knew it was a test one. :(

The route of his round passes my house to deliver then another 2 times quite near to it (either end of the street). Today I was out at the time of the original delivery so he went to the bother of checking the other two times to see if I'd returned to save him having to take it back and me get it re-delivered.

I did thank him for his trouble but I wish there was a way I could thank him via the panel. They need to add a bit where we can report outstanding work by a Postpeople! :)

My time is coming to an end and must say I enjoyed doing it, felt it was easy to do and worth it. I have more stamps than I will ever use. I even got 2 lots of stamps this month, as they sent a presentation pack and 2 books of stamps in my final sender pack. I only had 3 parcels to post and received one during the 6 months. On average it was 4 to 5 letters to post each week and receiving about the same. I never ran out of smarts, packs always came on time. I also got some good magazines.

Letters might also have to be posted at the post office therefore maybe people should think before signing up to do the survey as to how far away or inconvenient that would be for them.

Hello everyone, I have finally today received an email to say that I have been accepted and I will receive my first sender pack next week, is there anything I need to know or is it pretty self-explanatory?

Looking forward to getting started after months of waiting!

It depends what information they put in your pack. But it should be quite simple as the first pack will just have 2 letters in. Any problems just ask here. :)
