    Dear Panellist,

Depending on where you are located, either you will be in snow already, being snowed upon, or be enjoying snow in the next few days.

Today (Friday) we have had to call a 'Snow Day' at our operations in West Bromwich. If you have a query, please email our helpline and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Although we encourage you to post items according to schedule (unless you're waiting for SMARTs to include in those items), if conditions are treacherous, please do not trudge or drive to Postboxes or Post Offices on our account. Safety first.

If you are unable to post due to adverse weather, please wait until conditions have improved, and once the item is posted, amend the date of posting when you register the item details online.

    Yours faithfully,

    Postal Survey Team
I did not get that message. I walked to the post office to post todays aswell as return SMARTS. I managed to loose my Smats one on the way to the post office and I retraced my steps 3 times will I eventually found it (took over an hour just to find it) white envelopes in the snow is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. The roads are lethal around here and I have another to post tomorrow.

It's come up on the front page, before you log in.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

For some bizarre reason which I've never really understood, stamps seem to sell on eBay for not that far off their face value.

You could try that, though you'll lose a fair chunk to eBay/Paypal.

I also sometimes sell stamps on ebay.

The other thing to remember is that you're not covered by recorded/signed delivery if they should get lost in the post - so you do take a slight risk.

Only Special Delivery would cover you - but the cost of that rather defeats the object !

Bit of a newbie to this

I have plenty of SMARTS in stock

My paper posting schedule shows add SMART to an item

My online schedule does not mention associate / add a SMART with the item, the FAQs say to add an unscheduled SMART and enter it's code in the drop down box. No drop down box appears

    Thanks

If it does not let you add one online or tell you which one to add, just take it as that item does not need one anymore. The online version is more up-to-date. :)
  • Forgive me if thisis a daft question, I'm new to the panel. I have SMARTs to include in my items for the first time, do I have to take them out of their wrapping?
    Thanks

No, leave them in their wrapper. They travel around lots so need all the protection they can get! :)
  • This is getting silly now. This is my third week back on the survey and nothing received although I have had 4 items scheduled to send.

Last email told me they were getting back to normal, but they would make a note.

    What is going on?

i think you just have to be a little patient with them at the moment....obviously the snow is still causing problems and the office was closed on friday....

Prior to that they didnt return to work following the christmas and new year break until the first full week of january...

Having said all that my stuff seems to be getting through ok..ive things listed for next week to send which ive not received yet but its not an issue yet,and if i dont receive them in time then just hold them over to the corresponding day the following week...

I di seem to have 3 things listed as items i should have received but they are clearly held up somewhere in the postal system...
