Had an email from Royal Mail yesterday - informing me that my order for 10 books of 2nd class stamps (ordered 12 days ago) had been dispatched !!
But that I should wait up to 12 days for it to arrive
So - in future - not only do they expect us to pay 30% more for postage - but that we should wait 12 days for letters to be delivered

Royal Mail don't deserve the "Royal" title...

Anyone who ordered online could you tell me how they come. I ordered £41 pounds worth so will then come by special delivery?

I too ordered on-line - 10 books of 2nd class - they finally (after 12 days of emailing them) - took the money from my account on Tuesday - and dispatched them yesterday - for delivery within 12 days - so no "special delivery" - more "Snail delivery" !!

I went to my local newsagents today to buy a few books of second class and they were charging the increased price already. I thought the prices were not going up until the end of the month? I left without any stamps. Think I'll try the PO instead.

That is illegal - report them to OFCOM (The regulator)

Currently a packet up to 750g is £2.61 via 2nd class post

That cannot be right, I post a lot of 120g packets 2nd class and current price is £1.72, going up to £2.20 after price rise.

I've never had a dispatch email from them....it would be nice.

I did receive an order that I placed on the 13th and 14th today, so 5 working days or so is well short of their 1-2 days promise.

One order went in on the Friday, don't remember the time, so its took more like 3 or 4 working days then.

12 days that the other person said is just a joke of a wait.

no R M sheets of stamps for me yet either, and find the web site difficult re my account - no idea if they've been dispatched yet. Very tedious as they have to be signed for.
I ordered at the weekend so expected them by Thursday pm.

edit - now friday pm and still no stamps from R M shop

i cant find the thread either, wanted to double check as got no quidco or £15 off ocado, but dont want to call them in case they pull me in on the terms and conditions. if i knew that, i would have gone to the post office!

my £15 came off my online order total while I was shopping. No Quidco yet but early days.
