Yes, they sent me a long letter on 'modernisation' and the improvements it will give me. So far i'm waiting.

All that extra driving in more vans around can't be good for their carbon footprint ....

    don't get me started
I was part of a park & poop 'modernisation
    duties are too long
    not correctly planned
on my own duty,I had the problem of park & poop with no parking
the key issue is the computer is king.
if the computer says it can be done then no excuses are accepted
I doubt any post 'modernisation' customer woul say they have felt an improvement

This is the discussion thread for the following MSE News Story:

"The price of stamps is likely to rocket after Ofcom said it'll allow Royal Mail to set its own prices for first class..."

It is no longer "likely to rise" as:

    From the BBC website:

"A first-class stamp will rise in price from 46p to 60p from 30 April"

"A second-class stamp will go up from 36p to 50p"

So 14p on each 1st and 2nd class stamp; that is a BIG increase. For sure stock up NOW; Superdrug are still doing 5% off 1st and 2nd class stamps until 10th April (so I was told at Peterborough's Superdrug).

I wonder what the legality is of setting up a franking service! Prices for franked mail after the rise will be 44p first class and 31p second class, so 16p and 19p cheaper for franked mail. Makes sense as RM knows that most mail is now business generated so its safer for them to go hardest at the people who rarely use RM, and cushion its regular users to avoid losing them - particularly as business users are also probably better placed to switch to other carriers which just makes RM's problem worse when they have to deliver the final stage!

No need to be sarcastic. I did look but obviously not in the right place as I didn't see it.

    services like that already exist.
Im not really sure what you mean by the rest of your post?
    DSA prices are regulator set
RM has no control over that.

Like I said, I obviously didn't look in the right place! Sheesh.

Did have a panic about having to go out and stock up before next week, but then I realised i've got until the 30th April. Not on top form today, tend to be a bit fuzzy after pain flare-ups like yesterday lol.

So what prevents someone from buying thousands of stamps now then selling them off at a higher price later?
