The problem with complaints about customer service is they are totally subjective.
In the same was as UW reps spam and use 'marketing tactics' to bolster UW's image, so a couple of voiciferous upset UW ex-customers(or even non customers) can plaster adverse comments all over the internet - using different names(I haven't - honest!!).
The point I was making earlier is that UW have a tiny customer base - BG have about 40 times the accounts - and there is evidence enough even on MSE let alone other forums, to suggest that UW have their share of customer service problems. Don't forget that just 1% of UW customers getting poor service means 3,000 people that are upset.
So the carefully fostered image on this thread of 'great customer service' is at least questionable.
One thing is certain. If you took seriously all of the complaints against the various Utility companies on MSE, you would never have any electricity, or gas, or a phone, or a mobile, or the internet!!
I agree with most of your post Cardew, we all know some UW reps pose as customers on various other forums/web-sites, but I am pretty sure that it works both ways and plenty of disgruntled ex UW or other people with 'vested' interest in discrediting the company posts similar rubbish about the company and their experiences!
I wonder who the poster who keeps digging up various stories about UW customer complaints uses for their utilities? If they want a company who are perfect and never makes a mistake I wish them luck because they won't ever find one!!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

I do find it interesting how new people who post on here get questioned! If they come on guns blazing, slagging UW off, its thanks all round and no questions asked! If they ask a question or appear to be neutral their posts are picked apart word by word! No wonder we don't get many new posters on here, there probably all to scared to ask questions for fear of accusation or intimidation!!
Not just on other websites but particularly on MSE. Bear in mind that this was the reason why Martin banned discussion of UW outside this thread.
For instance do you honestly think that 1973safc is the neutral customer he claimed to be?
His first post was aimed at devaluing the input of anyone posting against UW; what qualifications do we have? Are we Energy brokers?
His subsequent posts have all ignored any substative issue about UW and have all sided with the pro-UW brigade.
It is because we have so many 'imposters' similarly trying their hand in this thread that people 'get their retaliation in first';)
People like TWills posting on here ask genuine questions and get honest answers; they are not jumped upon.
I am not a disgruntled ex UW customer, and I cannot think that many of anti-UW faction who post here are either.
I have no axe to grind other that I detest the disingenuous tactics of some UW salesmen who knowingly post mis-information on this and every other internet forum.
Bear in mind that they posted their rubbish on this Board long before the introduction of the cashcard. Look at the sales tactics shown on the YouTube videos and those clips posted by Quentin - they are an absolute disgrace!
If we deter a few people from being conned about UW prices and possibly get people like yourself to realise how much extra you were paying(and leave) we will have performed a valuable service in the name of Money Saving.0 -
Apparently their holding their distributors New Year motivational events this weekend and next ,expect them to come back full of enthusiam.:D0

Actually Cardew my very first post wasn't designed to discredit anybody. It was actually offering the antis like yourself an opportunity to establish their credibility so those reading the thread could give more credence to their opinion, but you immediately attacked me by letting your prejudices get the better of you. There was no need to be so blatantly bloody hostile. I'm not a Utility Warehouse employee any more than you are. You have no evidence of what you say about me here, so the readers can therefore infer that your opinions aren't actually based on fact at all. You actually have no other knowledge of me than my username. I have actually said very early on this thread that UW representatives advertising here are wrong, and they are easy to spot, but you ignored that. However, if a UW person posts here and declares it then that is his 'qualification'. The antis don't seem to have any 'qualification' and resent being asked for one. My conclusion is that you aren't 'qualified' at all (even being a UW hater would be a 'qualification') other than as an electronic busybody and therefore your opinion is worthless to anyone trying to weigh up the Pros and Cons of the arguments here.0

If your not connected whats your interest 17 posts all on same thread.
Whatever the terminology, I'm still not one, no matter how many times I'm asked! Neither have I spammed any forum (another unsubstantiated smear). 17 posts isn't too many really. they've all been made in the natural flow of the thread. I'm not someone who sits on MSE all day and loves to see his thoughts on every conceivable thread here. How many have you made on this thread?0 -

Well if it was, or if it wasn't, isn't important.
Does it matter that I, and others, are convinced you are a UW Distributor?
What possible relevance is it that we spend too much time on this website, you didn't Google to find that out, did you?
We have made it plain why we don't like UW and the antics of UW salesmen.
As this is a money saving website the only important issue is UW prices.
Now as you came apparently came to this website(by way of Google) to find out about UW, do you agree that they have just about the most expensive gas and electricity in UK?
Have you checked how much extra charge UW for your consumption? which surely was the point in Googling UW?
As said earlier, just post your consumption and area here and we will tell you.0 -

Not surprisingly yes, seeing as you hold them in as much regard as serial killers! What possible relevance is it that we spend too much time on this website, you didn't Google to find that out, did you?
What possible relevance is it that another poster thought 17 posts was far too many for a newcomer on this thread. That is pretty arrogant. We have made it plain why we don't like UW and the antics of UW salesmen.
You've made it plain you don't like others who don't share the same views as you, either. As this is a money saving website the only important issue is UW prices.

As i've already said (which you conveniently continue to ignore), i'm not interested in Utility Warehouse Gas & Electricity prices. You have no idea what my reason was for Googling UW. I've never told you. You seem too blinded by your obsession to take notice of anything else.0
