 If your not interested in the subject of Utility Warehouse energy prices why do you keep posting here then ?

Mostly to defend myself against smears and accusations it seems. My interest in Utility Warehouse is more eclectic than just Gas and Electricity prices. They may be more expensive, they may not be, it's not important to me. People here want to push the relative price of energy on me and apparently want me to acknowledge certain things in public. I'm not going to do that just to satisfy them.

For the last time, Gas and Electricity prices hold no attraction for me. The cashcard and telephony services might, but I need unbiased opionion, and it's fairly plain that those posting here aren't going to give me that. They seem to react to anyone who isn't prepared to involve themselves in their childish little game. When they stop smearing people and give me a reason to take them seriously, then i'll listen. Until then, it's just as important to make it clear that their views are no more unbiased than the UW ones they're railing against.

Have you been reading a different thread???

Most of the posters here (including Cardew) have said that for telephony/broadband UW are fairly competitive, the card makes that even more so. I dont think many of the posters here would disagree with that.

Its just their gas and electricity prices are quite frankly ridiculous, and the only way to get the all inclusive calls package from UW is to take the gas and electricity as part of the package, negating the savings made by getting free daytime calls by paying a fortune for the fuel.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Yes, there's some posts about the telephony/card which show amongst the background noise here, but they're still buried in amongst the endless propaganda which never misses an opportunity to criticise UW for it's energy prices. The stuff posted is mind numbingly repetitive and convinces me that, like UW representatives/distributors/whatever you want to call them, they have a bias which makes their input difficult to swallow to say the least. It is almost impossible to extract any worthy info from this thread because most of it is spent !!!!!ing, smearing and accusing others of something they are not, just because they won't join the chorus of dissaproval about their energy tariffs. Do I need to do that, otherwise i'm immediately suspected of being one of them? Is that how it works for people here?

I've already said that it's not the gas and electric that are my prime interests, but some display incredulity about that. Why? I don't understand why some think it unbelievable that some ordinary person could come looking for information about Utility Warehouse without wishing to be drawn into the pathetic stuff exhibited here by supposed 'experts' on money saving, and even more incredibly, to do it on Boxing Day, and make 17 posts about it! What next eh?

If you are not interested in gas and electric, why was this your opening post? (posted I might add before anyone had cast doubts on your status/integrity)
but what about the antis? How are they qualified to comment? Do we have energy consultants amongst the prominent posters here?

Qualified to comment on what - did you mean Phone?;) Energy consultants;)

You then wanted to know if 'the antis' worked for rival companies.

You are a fraud IMO, as so many of your ilk!

The uw reps are noticed by their absence with regard to "helping" 1973safc (OT - I was there!) in his quest for info! (Maybe they know something about his motives???)

Any coincedence that their buddy Carmine has not joined in the discussion recently ?

You really are reading way, way, WAY too much into my posts!

In fact, you're in danger of lapsing into witch hunt territory now. That shoots yourselves in the foot a bit doesn't it?

    Talk about paranoid !!!

When I first posted, I wanted to know which contributors could show me whether they actually had input that was worth anything. Most of the posts on this thread have been about energy, so I wanted to find out if the people posting against UW were involved with other companies (and therefore had a vested interest), or otherwise. That didn't mean I was personally interested in UW energy, just that those who were so vociferous were mostly posting about it at the time. I wanted to know who had credibility and who hadn't.

The way I've been treated since indicates that none of your input is actually worth a dime to anyone. None of you have any credibility at all. You act like paranoid bullies who think they're clever, but in fact are just showing themselves up. Every time you post and continue to berate people who you (wrongly) think are involved with Utility Warehouse you make yourselves look like complete bigots. You completely devalue your advice, some of which is no doubt good, and hopefully others reading this will see you for what you really are. You ask why no pro UW people have helped. Does it really take more than one brain cell to work out why?

If I were involved with UW, I certainly wouldn't waste my time arguing with you lot. A total waste of time.

    1. You asked initially what qualifications the 'Anti's' had.

What qualifications do you think are required to be able to read comparison websites? to compare tariffs? to read T & C's of the various tariffs?

    2. You asked initially were any of the 'Antis' Energy Consultants?

What do you mean by Energy consultants? Could that be someone who calculates that a property needs XkWh of gas/electricity annually? If so does it matter how that energy is provided, other than its cost.

    or

Do you mean a grandly titled energy salesman, who after 'carefully' considering a potential customer's needs, comes to the conclusion that the product they are selling is the most suitable package.

UW have 33,000 such salesmen(all with very impressive titles) - they are encouraged to sell the hugely expensive gas and electricity to trusting family and friends initially.

    3. You want to establish that none of the 'Antis' work for rival competitors.

How do you expect us to 'establish' that fact?

After all that, you then change tack and decide that you were not interested in gas and electricity, but telephony; but have asked no questions about telephony.

So you Googled the term UW, to find out about telephony. Spent the first few posts on gas and electricty, the rest of your posts whining about your treatment and attacking the antis for being nasty to you.

Go peddle your wares elsewhere - or change your name, get(again) a new identity for MSE and try a more subtle approach.
