"You said i quote "I don't even remember a bar at any of the venuse used for UW meetings. It's tea, coffee and juice all round I think""

Just before I go completely I was referring to venues I have been to not in general. Isn't this a rather petty thing to pick me up on.

If you cant present the facts correctly/clearly on minor matters how do you expect people to believe you on more major ones.

Let me make it clear again i dont personally have a problem with UW,or their preferred way to Market.

the ASA has adjudicated against uw on 19 complaints in the lst 5 years
And British Gas 11 times in the last two years. People make mistakes. They think they are getting their message across in a proper manner and get it wrong. UW aren't perfect but IMHO, they are no worse than many other companies.

I know this site is all about saving money but I feel that many people want good value for money rather than just the cheapest item. UW gets some quite good third party comments for service. Obviously some customers will have problems and be highly vocal about them. My personal experience has been quite good. I decided to swap electricity and gas suppliers a while back. It turns out I did this a few days before the new compamy put it's prices up. I am now back completely with UW because I get the best deal for my own personal circumstances. I readily accept that someone else, even in the same area as me, will find better value for their individual requirements.

UW are in business to make a profit. So are Britsh Gas, Southern Electric and Etc. They must be doing something right otherwise they would be out of business. The job of we customers is to get the best value and service from the companies we deal with. At least we have some choice as to where our money goes.

The 19 complaints (in 5 years) against uw you quote were not posted as a comparison with BG (or any other supplier).

They were mentioned to correct posts by your colleague Keggs (from uw) who misinformed us that there had only been 2 complaints made about UW in 10 years.

It was the repeated attempt to deceive us that prompted the post you quote from, and you will see your response is out of context, as you will agree, no-one from British Gas has yet come on here and lied about the number of adjudications there have been against them.

UW will not pay anyone for anything that it doesn't feel will be of benefit to either the company or its customers. That includes comparison sites. If UW is on them it's beacause the site itself has included it but don't believe for one minute it i=has done so to be fair. It hasn't.

More (unnecessary) misleading and untrue info from this uw rep.

The uw does pay referral fees to comparison site UK Power if any new customers sign up through it.

    Hi Quentin

I think this will have been negotiated by an independent distributor rather than by UW (Telecomplus). As far as I am aware, the "Company" still doesn't sign up with any comparison sites.
