    Oh this is fun:

The more the UW apparatchiks and stakhanovites end up spending time here posting the less damage they do "selling" their unlikely-to-eventually-prove-a-good-deal vapour-ware-wizzo-deal, thus the less damage they will cause to our fellow men.

I wouldnae touch UW with a very long barge-pole: and would advise anyone else to avoid them as well.

There are several long posts relating to UW in this sub-board with differing views (some in favour, many against UW). IMHO the most vociferous and increasingly panicking posters are, oddly, "distributors" for UW. These distributors/senior managers/directors or whatever they call themselves operate in a manner many fair-minded people would find reminiscent of a Pyramid scheme. However UW tell me it is not a Pyramid scheme so I accept their statement that it is not a Pyramid scheme.

Eventually these poor misguided souls will wake up and get another job where most fair-minded people would consider the ethics are better. Until then I fear we must expect these misguided people to indulge more wasting-time when they could be out selling. Oh this is fun!

    Cheers!

    Lodger

PS As I said, clearly not a Pyramid Scheme.

Not a distributor (not even a customer yet but applied). Currently BT phone line, Sky for BB and SP for gas/leccy. And why have you gone all Scottish on us?:p

Like I say, get me a better deal and you can crow all day long. Fail to do so and 'thar's got nowt to come' as we Yorkshire folk like to say.

And why does BG supercede its online tariffs every couple of months? And now we have the introduction of the exit fee, of course.

I've mentioned plenty of times that i'm too lowly to be involved in those kind of descisions. The exit fee is to encourage people to stay - I'd've thought that was clear.

Nah, Utility Warehouse low, medium and high user tariffs are for everybody. Other suppliers' different tariffs are targeted at people with internet access and other distinct groups.
If UW's tariffs are for everybody, why are there 3? from what UW ID's have said, it is perfectly possible for someone to join UW on an inappropriate tariff for their consumption, and it is up to the customer to spot and correct this (sound familiar...?).
As to the targetted approach, yes, that;s what I meant by different strokes for different folks - I much prefer dealing with my accounts online, but I know full well that that doesn't suit everyone. There's a few threads suggesting that cost to serve should be reflected in the price - or is that just for prepayment?

Nobody else going to answer my questions? I guess the answer to that is no. Pity. Carmine did give a hint of a clue to one of them.

Well, you can ring them up too.

What was your question, I can see if I can help.

What's the point on arguing semantics with you, facts can be argued, belief systems can't.

I think it's just amusing that you don't consider Marx a socialist. Especially since he is credited as being the greatest socialist thinker of the 19th century. but of course you know better, so I bow to your expertise in this area of socialism and communism.

I'm not talking about Marx as you well know. In any event it was you who brought up the topic of capitalism.

Like someone else here your sarcasm doesn't do your case any good either.

People here keep trying to denigrate the Utility Warehouse and every other network marketing business without having anya real klnowledge of what it is or how it really works. Hence my questions.

I asked 2 simple questions. Carmine gave a hint of the answer to the main question. If you don't know say so. But don't in the same breath start pretending you know what you are talking about. If you think you do then tell everyone the answers.

I never brought up capitalism or socialism. In fact it was actually you who brought socialism into the thread, not me. Facts seem to be your weak point, sarcasm aside, you do however get full marks, on belief systems.

the way the network works is based on socialist principles and not capitalism.
  • Oh, and I don't try to discredit networking as a tool to generate business, it's the most cost effective process available. Neither do I really decry UW. I only find distaste in the methods used by many of its sales agents to procure themselves an income by distorting facts.

UW isn't a true pyramid and nothing like a ponzi scheme but the methodology is very closely modeled on pyramid schemes.

If they have the best service and prices, why would they need to do such a thing? And why do they supercede the online packages so often? And can you transfer to the new one penalty-free?

UW are often (on here) said to be very expensive. So why don't they have exit fees to stop people leaving? These are all questions that need answers. :D

Ps And why has no-one even tried to get me a better deal? It's there in black and white, it's a challenge but why has no-one taken it up? We keep getting reminded by certain folks that this is a money saving site and we have already been told by one certain person that morals don't come into it on here - it's all about the price. This is the energy industry, the most discredited industry in the country, THERE ARE NO GOOD GUYS, so get the best deal you can, folks.
