So the reason they switch people to all the other companies is to earn a living by getting commision from switching people to them but they switch people to UW "because they like them"???
To be honest I really dont know the answer to that question, I'm surprised they even bother, I had to go through 5 pages of results on energylinx to be told UW wouldnt save me any money and thats on a website that CAN switch me to UW (although its the same story on all the others)
Do you know the answer to that one?
Crikey, give us more details, Chris, that seems amazing. Usage, area, current supplier? I'll check out your supplier with my usage and then see if they can beat my deal using the cashback card. I'm always up for a better deal. TIA!Call me Carmine....

No that is not what I am saying. Why would a distributor pay for advertising it is expensive. Why pay for advertising when they have friends and family to approach. No there isn't a single distributor who uses energylinx. You are pushing hard to find something wrong again.
Do you think that price comparison sites are the only way for someone to find out about a company?
Come on mate, face it U.W.D.C. have a much more cost effective way of doing things.
No matter how many times you ask, and you have asked many times today. U.W.D.C. do not pay commission to any price comparison sites for a customer transfer. Its does not use that method the other companies do. People prefer to speak to people they know and trust about a product or service. Word of Mouth. Someone who has actually used the products or services.
Perhaps I am not forensic enough with my questions. So I will try again.
1. If I apply through Energylinx, on the link Martin gives, am I allocated to a distributor?
2. Do UW pay that distributor any commission?
3. When Energylinx state they get commission from the supplier* for a switch they are incorrect in the case of UW?
* supplier meaning the company or one of its employees/distributors.
4. Do you accept that on Energylinx - which UW use - UW are consistently near the bottom in price for gas and electricity?(47th of 54 for me today)
5. Why do you Spam other sites? without revealing you are a salesman for the product you are giving such wonderful reviews.0 -

I wouldnt use the cashback card as I dont shop in Sainsburys and I wouldnt take home phone and broadband from them either.
Seeboard region, Scottish power fixed price energy online using around 14000kwh gas and 2000kwh electricity.
I think you'll find UW is 45th in a list of 56
Also interesting is the fact that their "low user" tariff comes out as most expensive for me, I honestly didnt think my usage was that high to be classed as standard or higher user?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

I have simply told the truth about how the U.W.D.C. business worksand shown that it is more cost effective than the methods used by the other companies.I have been asked the same question a number of times and answered it that. I have also mentioned that they have to make sure they give a good service else people won't recommend them and the company would not grow. There is not one mention of slander of any other company. Is that not True.
There have been a number of instances where I have seen U.W.D.C. misrepresented though. That is True.
PS - You may have noticed I'm a pedant.0 -

Yeah 2011, I happen to like the fact I'm still saving money on it even after these current laughable price drops.
I like the fact there is no cancelation fee more though!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Customers do not come to U.W.D.C. through price comparison sites. That is an expensive way of doing things.
So what happens when I click on continue and sign up via energylinx?

Yeah, it's all good. Even though it's no longer available so not really a fair comparison, in my Yorkshire region, on my usage, and projected use of cashback card, my net annual price would be £1061 with the SP tariff and £1012 with UW (but, of course, there's an as yet unnanounced price reduction to come off, very probably on my huge leccy usage, so maybe £960 per year?). £8+ a month cheaper. 12 monthly paper bills, fully itemised. Option of recommending others for the same deal as me and getting even more deducted from my bill. All I'm doing there is paying for my shopping on the cashback card instead of my debit card (and, incidentally, saving a projected 25% on my shopping by using Sainsburys instead of my usual supermarket/s, all fully documented, btw). Not for everybody, I grant you, but compelling all the same. And I'm still entirely unsure why the rabid objection from some on here (not you, BTW). This IS a money saving site after all where some people have been known to go to extraordinary lengths to save a few bob.
