I went for the select account

So of the 3 accounts mentioned in the OP the one you went for is the one which you say you are not sure if it was offered.

Sorry no I went for the Select Silver. I was told that all the ones being offered where after I was credit scored.

I can imagine you will be offered the "credit restricted" select silver account which effectively is a glamorised step account.

Well that wont be a problem as I'm only using it to pay my bills and not as a spending account. Is there a 'credit restricted' Royalities Gold then?

does not work like that im afraid to tell you. I too had an account and a few days later when I try and use card it swallow it.

I went in to moan and got told account was closed. so much so that they didnt even trace me on system. They told me to wait on a letter.

I got letter from AVU saying get lost. How nice of them :rotfl:

Natwest and RBS are different companies.
    RBS is Natwest's Parent Company.

They have separate policies, and separate scoring systems and so on.

Actually, Royal Bank of Scotland Group is the parent company of both of them, as well as the other parts of the group such as Ulster Bank and Direct Line:

Your main point that they are run separately is of course correct.
