Got an item for sale on eBay and it's had a few bids, it did also have a Buy It Now option but this seems to have disappeared?! Does a BIN price go once bids have started? Don't really get this, it happened to another item yet someone still managed to BIN.
Anyone shed any light on the matter?

Thanks - but someone has done a BIN now on an item that has had bids before, if the current bid is £3.80 and the BIN price was £10, if someone bids £10 will they win the auction?2p off is still 2p off!0

The Buy-it-now options disappears as soon as the reserve price is met (currently must be at least £50). If you've no reserve it disappears as soon as someone makes a bid.0

Anyone help with the 2nd question? buyer is waiting now and I need to post it ASAP as they need it tomorrow!!!2p off is still 2p off!0

buy it now no longer exists for your auction as you have bids. If the buyer you are talking about bids £10.00 they will not automatically win the auction. Winner will be bidder who has highest bid at end of auction as normal.Once I've saved it I spend it !!0

fatboyonadiet, I had a BIN button on my auction and got confused about this too - I guess it must disapeer so that the people who are bidding stand a chance - in the my item actually sold for £60 and the BIN price had only be £45!!

Re the second part of your question the answer is no. Once you had bids you lose the option of the BIN so a buyer can not now buy the item from you for £10 unless you pull all the current bids and let the buyer use the BIN before anyone else places another bid.
However, that will mean a lot of disgruntled buyers who might well avoid placing bids on your items in future.
I hope that is OK as an explanation? I know what I mean but sometimes I find it difficult to explain it in writing.

As a seller I wish it didn't disappear. The faster the sale the better for me.
Obviously if it remained it would tempt someone to grab it and run..happy seller and happy buyer.
Wish EBay would look at this.0 -
