Why not make the effort to follow the 2nd link given in post 10, which explains in detail how to access the recovery partition at boot up, or from the Start menu?No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Then use the other method as described (F10 at boot up). But if the System Recovery option is not showing in the Star Menu, then you may no longer have aworking recovery partition, so you'll have to use the disks you have created instead.
You can view the partitions by going (Start > Run > diskmgmt.msc)
How can I recover the PC?
Three methods:
1. Start > All Programs > System Recovery > System Recovery. Press OK to restart and load the recovery program when prompted.
2. If Windows doesn't load, then repeatedly tap F10 as soon as you power on the PC and it should say "Starting System Recovery" - as soon as it does so, then you can stop tapping.
3. If you have recovery disks then boot off the first disk and press R when prompted.
When the recovery program starts you will be presented with some options, these are relatively self explanatory. When copying files has finished restart the PC to complete the installation and setup of the PC.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Have you made a copy of the Drivers folder? Possibly under C:/Applications/Drivers.
If so you can download and save Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium x64 to a working computer with a DVD writer. Once fully downloaded and saved(it's a big file, more than 3GB), you can go on to transferring to DVD.
To do so;
Place a blank DVD in the drive.
Download and install ImgBurn(No need to install the Google Toolbar. Remove the relevant tick). Burn the Image to Disc. Use this guide(skip step 2b) to burning the image to disc.
Alternatively Windows 7 has it's own image burning software.
Once you have created the disc, you will have more options open to you. Let me know when you are at that stage.
Will also send you a PM.0
