Got a big ikea delivery coming tomorrow which means DIY all day long.
I have just put the makings of a veggie soup in the thermal cooker for blending later ready for nutritious and MSE meals tomorrow.
It was very very cheap as there were 3 broccoli stalks in there which I keep for stocks n soups as well as carrots, potatoes and onions.
I am also going to put a bread mix in the maker set to dough then try out a pizza with it which should not take too long tomorrow. If it turns out ok I will save a fortune at the weekend as loads are coming over for a movie night and I WON'T be ordering pizza if I can make it fresh for pennies!!!!!
Have a nice evening all.
I'm off for a soak now as I am covered in paint but at least the kitchen is immaculately finished off now :T:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Hi all, haven't caught up with all the posts yet.
I'd like to try for £250 again this month. I've already spent £63.79 of it. Must try to curb any more spending this week.

Hi there mandco - we did a dish on Sat - chicken paella which used 2 chicken breasts, chorizo, spring onions and paprika, instead of the more 'fish-based' paella that we usually have and it was scrummy.(This fed 4 of us). This would use up some of your chorizoPay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

Hello all, I'm coming back to GC after a slide back into bad habits which has left me right up against my overdraft limit and not able to pay all my cc off each month (something I vowed would never happen again).
Soooo.... from now on, back to the grindstone and super frugality! My pay comes mid month, so I'm going to go from 15th to 15th of each month.
I need to have mostly NSDs till the 15th, but will need a few bits and pieces so will set a budget of £25 for groceries/essentials till then.
I have lots of family duties at the moment (driving parents around etc.) but I will be reimbursed for the petrol.
Budget to April 15th: £25
Budget April 15th to May 1st £50
April budget total £75
I hope to spend less than that really but I'm not the world's best at sticking to budget so trying to be more realistic.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

smells great tho!! now i need some ideas on what to do with the mush?!!
was thinking of mixing some egg and cheese into it and then perhaps making individual quiches for freezer? any suggestions would be great
Thanks
Sounds like it might make a nice stir through sauce for pasta - sprinkle a little cheese , perhaps add a little basil if you have it and Bobs your uncle.

Have got a bit behind with posting over the last few weeks and have also been away, but back on track now. I have updated my signature and am about on target for the year so far, but my cupboards are looking a bit empty and my stocks are down. Hoping to hang on until Wednesday and then have a proper shop then as I have a £5 off T*s*o voucher which I must use.
Hope everyone is doing ok!Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin
