We made a film about this yesterday.
Basically we had an indian gentleman ring up our department, saying that one of the machines was reporting errors. Unknown to him, he was ringing the IT department. We basically got recording, had a bit of fun acting like a thick user and then confessed we knew he was on a scam all along.
The film is called "24 minutes" and can be found on my loopzorbital blog. Hope this brings a smile to all those that have suffered from these idiots!
I'd like to post the link but i'm too new so if someone could contact me, i can advise of the link to them. OR just google loopzorbital and it's the top page. For info, the Loopzorbital blog is normally used to promote music by ORBITAL but on this occasion we are trying to promote awareness of this common scam. We ask you inform friends and family because its now becoming very common and they are ripping off a lot of people.
Cheers

go check it in avgthreatlabs dot com. It's totally safe - please contact me if you need advice on how to check websites in future, before making a rash comment in a public forum. Some people out there would react a lot differently to liable comments like that, so be careful.0
