The old Parking Pie "first in last out" ticketing 'error', they will probably cite a "no return within X hours" rule if you challenge it.
Checked again today, and yes there is a no return within 4 hours, I didn't actually return, never parked up, just drove through the car park.

Such a term would be considered unreasonable under unfair contract legislation. What are you supposed to do if you leave after doing your shopping and realise you have forgotten to get some milk? Wait four hours before coming back? Or you think you left your purse or mobile at the checkout? It's total nonsense and can be safley ignored."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Do not ignore a private parking ticket - from 2013 onwards things changed in England/Wales. If yours is Parking Eye then they are suing people and so are some other PPCs.
You must appeal and with current forum advice, you will win at popla - we win 100% of appeals in 2014.

I had a similar thing with a tesco, went there to get something to eat at about 9am, then went back for a call of nature at about 6pm, they had me there all day, even though I could prove where I was as the vehicle had a tracker.
They tried to pursue even when given the printouts by my company, they were basically told to sod off after my fleet manager got bored with baiting them.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
well after receiving my original first letter on 24th March, I called into the supermarket on the following monday who photocopied my letter and was sending it to their head office to get it cancelled. On 30th March I received a 2nd letter, pretty much duplicate of the 1st letter asking me to pay the fine of £70.00 reduced to £40 if paid by 4th April, I ignored it. TODAY, I opened a letter FINAL NOTICE, saying it was £40 but now is £70 until 19th April and will be £70 from 20th April plus additional charges. It also says "If this letter is ignored, we will have no option other than to take further action, which may include instructing our solicitors to secure immediate payment or the issuing of court proceedings."
Further down the page
"The consequences of not paying, and subsequent legal proceedings, are that Judgment may be entered and, if ignored a baliff/sheriff may attend the debtor's address to remove goods."
Now what, seriously beginning to panick0 -

Now what, seriously beginning to panick
IF they take it to court (the letter says "may")
and
IF they win
and
IF you don't pay
then some of that extract may happen.
There are some big "if"s in there, carry on ignoring.0 -
It is all TOTAL AND COMPLETE RUBBISH. All you are getting is template letters churned out by their computer system untouched by human hand, because some moron in their office hasn't updated the system.
Nothing will happen if you ignore the letter. However, as you are still in communication with Aldi, I suggest that you get a mad on, and go in there and ask them if they approve of their agents treating their customers like this after you were assured it was going to be settled, it now appears you were lied to, etc., etc. you get the idea I am sure.
You should at the very least get a grovelling apology and try for a nice shopping voucher.
Or sue them. I am deadly serious, you have ample grounds and they WILL pay. That is the ONLY way you will get to see a courtroom, by the way, because their threats are simply more of what they do best- lie. Everything they have said is a LIE. Figure it out for yourself. If they COULD take you to court, they would have done it, not talked about it!
And for goodness sake check out the sticky with the letters they send, just to reassure yourself that you are only getting what countless thousands of others get- and you can then see how close you are to them giving up and clearing off!
But sue. Make yourself some money and show these cowardly bullies where they get off.0 -

There will be no effect on your credit rating, nothing will happen. Why not march into the Supermarket and complain as they said they would cancel this rubbish and all these letters are a criminal offence (harassment) by their agent?
Don't get scared by this rubbish; get ANGRY about the Supermarket doing this to a customer!!
I have re read the answers, I am glad you said it will have no effect on my credit rating, and nothing will happen, its just reassurance I need. Lost the first letter, but kept the last two and put them in file, ready to do them for harrasment. Like I say, just need REASSURANCE. In 24 years of driving have never had a point on my licence or fine for anything driving related.0 -
