Just tried with opera, straight into site, only problem i prefer Chrome as default browser and it takes up to a minute to load.
One year old computer.0 -
It's very slow for me too. I'm on a fast computer with FF - and as most people are finding - my computer freezes until the banners have loaded... It is really annoying me and also putting me off coming to this site.0

Slow to load for me too - my laptop just freezes up for about 40 secs before loading page. Once loaded, it runs well. Using vista with chrome or FF. Makes no difference which browser I use - still very slow to load. It's been like this for more than a month.0

For goodness sake MSE, why can't you respond to these observations. A post from one of MSE's techies to at least acknowledge us would be welcome.
Once I've submitted this post I'm going to report it to draw their attention to it. There could be a three possible outcomes:
1) A moderator will see it as a report and delete it so none of you will be reading this (doh!)
2) It will be ignored - so if you read this post and there's no posts from MSE to acknowledge/refute a problem then we know MSE can't be bothered.
3) The option I'm hoping for - some MSE techies will enter the debate with either apologies, explanations, suggestions, sympathy etc.
I wait in anticipation.....Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.0 -
To be fair, there is another thread running in the Site Feedback forum where there have been some responses

Thanks I hadn't spotted that - and apologies to the MSE Team. :embarasseTo be fair, there is another thread running in the Site Feedback forum where there have been some responses

Might be worth shutting this thread downNever let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.0 -
I didn't even realise there was a Site Feedback forum till someone else pointed me in that direction, so probably worth leaving the thread here at least for that educational reason!0
